HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V2.1 (Atmega168PA) (AUS Warehouse)

Based on and built in conjunction with the original QUADBoard designer Rolf and the popular and already well supported KK Control board, the Hobbyking Multi-Rotor control board is bringing Quadcopter madness to the masses with its breakthroughs in quality and price!

The HobbyKing Multi-Rotor control board uses Japanese Murata piezo gyros that are less sensitive to vibration than SMD type gyros and also features state of the art SMT manufacturing to ensure quality. This board also uses a user programmable Atmega168PA IC.

Specs.
Size: 50.5mm x 50.5mm x 23.5mm
Weight: 14.5 gram
IC: Atmega168PA
Gyro: Murata Piezo
Input Voltage: 3.3-5.5V
Signal from Receiver: 1520us (4 channels)
Signal to ESC: 1520us

Whats is a Multi-Rotor Control board you ask?

The HobbyKing Multi-Rotor controller is a flight control board for 4 rotor Aircraft (Quadcopters). Its purpose is to stabilise the aircraft during flight. To do this it takes the signal from the three on board gyros (roll, pitch and yaw) then passes the signal to the Atmega168PA IC. The Atmega168PA IC unit then processes these signals according the users installed software and passes control signals to the installed Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs). These signals instruct the ESCs to make fine adjustments to the motors rotational speed which in turn stabilises your Quadcopter.

The HobbyKing Multi-Rotor control board also uses signals from your radio systems receiver (Rx) and passes these signals to the Atmega168PA IC via the ail, ele, thr and rud inputs. Once this information has been processed the IC will send varying signals to the ESCs which in turn adjust the rotational speed of each motor to induce controlled flight (up, down, backwards, forwards, left, right, yaw).

Note: A user manual is available under the files tab.

what way does the board have to be mounted
 Wooly Mammoth 1 points
Joshua there are 2 little arrows in one corner of the board, this is you forward direction. This board comes pre-configured for operation so this should be pointing directly at on of your motors. Finally it should be mounted componet side up.

As per windheli....I need a manual please, nothing here or on Int Warehouse under the files tab!!
 NewToHobbyKing 7095 points
Christoper it should be back soon. It did say this board is pre flashed to a Plus Quad Copter. It also had the figure, in picture 3. I can send it to you. Please send your email address, in a private message, from the Open Forum (Blue Forum tab at Top of Page).

Where can I find the manual for this board? Thx
 NewToHobbyKing 7095 points
WindHeli it was under the Purple File Tab in the international warehouse. It should be back soon. But it was not much chop. Other than to say that this is pre flashed to a Plus Quad Copter. It also had the figure, in picture 3. If you cannot wait for it to come back, I can send it to you. Please send you email address, in a private message, from the Open Forum (Blue Forum tab at Top of Page). Good Flying!

It would be very nice if the listing said " the combo item ""USBasp AVR Programming Device"" would be very useful. Please consider buying on first purchase". This way a buyer would not need to go back and buy later.

Strange you posted the identical comment on the other board. I notice another member of your scamming gang is just below this post. She was told to leave the forum too. Actually I say gang, it was really one person with 6 IDs wasn't it Kellyann. I feel it is extremely unfair That you Scammed over $2,000.00 from HobbyKing, get kicked off and just sneak back in with a different ID, give yourself 2783 points and also add another 500 onto mine (yes HK have been informed) and just continue as if you have any rights here. You lost your rights the first go around. I might add that in 2 years you haven't managed even 10 purchases.

All that aside do you not think it is a good idea. You have some push here. Could you get it done. If I asked HobbyKing to stop and hold my credits, who that make it all OK. I can arrange that but you all must agree. No one has to take a credit. What do you think happen when some one credits Scott or another staff member. Help me please. Hay you are 2000 plus now. Well done!

Ha it is all ME ME ME. I am sorry but the listing say """Note: A user manual is available under the files tab."""" I went and had a look and there are no files there. I went to the international warehouse listing and it is in there!

Unfortunately we know who and what you are. Still haven't bought anything in all that time.

What wires do I need with this board just Male to male servo extensions ?
 gionir 37 points
That, for starters, also you will need extension wires for all your ESCs, you will need an harness to connect them to your battery(ies). If you fly a tricopter you will also need an extension for your yaw servo.

Seriously?!?!misnthe boat from Asia really that slow that we have to have the old ones? KK2 would have been much more appreciated, but still a step in the right direction I suppose.
 barfy 54 points
Why would you want the 328 chip? I've not come across anything that requires the larger memory?
 PavlovRC 80 points
Newest LCD KK board = those who wanna pay 10 bux to have their firmware flashed for them. Save ten, buy this and do it properly :)
 dsiee 7 points
I do not want the LCD screen nor 328p chip but the kk2 has a 3 axis accelrometer as well as the normal gyros. This allows fully leveled flight which is well worth the $10. Suppose I will just be sticking with MWC based copters from now.
 barfy 54 points
For $10 more you certainly get value. I have a KK2 board for the simple fact that the MEMS gyros are so much more robust than the Murata piezos, I've had to replace several after exceeding their design capabilities! (AKA crashing.)

Well, it has been a long time and I haven't yet written a review. Works perfectly on my H-Quad. Flashed it to KaptainKuk's 4.7X firmware with Pug's modifications for some radios (such as the HK 4ch Tx)
