More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo  nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.
-Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC
-Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load.
-Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate.
-Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries.
-Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.

Got four of these 1300mah Nano-Tech Li-Po's now and fly them in a Radjet 800 and a Vision EP. They are really powerful and give long flight duration. I originally used 1800mah Nano Tech Li-Po's in both these models but thought I'd try the 1300mah just to see what I lost and gained. The flight duration has dropped only by one minute but the performance is much better as the models are so much lighter due to the difference in weight between the 1300mah and 1800mah Li-Po's. The improvement in flight performance was particularly marked on the Vision EP model where vertical performance has been VERY much improved. No problems with charging and keeping in balance. I charge at a rate of 1 Amp. I don't like 'pushing' my batteries when charging. I have a couple of 3S 1300mah Zippy Li-Po's and their performance is nowhere near these Nano Techs.

Yes well worth the little extra for the nano-tech. The recommended lipo for the Radjet is the 1300 even with that pushed as far back as it will go she is still nose heavy. I had to tape a bolt to either side of the main body to get perfect balance. But its worth the effort when it comes to performance.

This arrived well packaged. No where near balanced though.

I don't know why it is. I buy batteries from the International Warehouse and they arrive, eventually, well balanced. But, when I buy the same batteries from the UK warehouse, so far, they are way off.

Anyway, they soon square up and I have no problems.

I like Nanotech batteries. And these are just as I expected them to be. Good batteries at a fantastic price.

Now that I can buy yhem in the UK, they really work out cheap!

I recommend them. It would be nice if they arrived balanced though.
