This stunning looking Sbach 342 is a pure, mean, 3D machine! The superb Ultra-light construction, which features a sheeted spine fuselage for strength, keeps the flying weight minimal, couple this with a 50cc gas engine or Turnigy Rotomax 50cc equivalent brushless motor and you have unlimited vertical performance!
The wings and horizontal stabilizers are plug in for easy transport, the tailfeathers are not flat sheet but full aerofoil, the control surfaces are easily large enough for 3D maneouvers. Rudder is pull/pull and high quality ball linked control rods are used throughout for precision and reliability. The pre-applied covering is glossy and of a very high standard, the colour scheme is ideal for orientation and looks superb in the classic Sbach scheme. Nice build. The covering is well applied. The wing tube fits in the fuselage, maybee this problem has been fixed (or i'm lucky). The harware is medium quality. I thing i'll change the control rods and hinges. Landing gear seems "soft" but i have the carbon one from my former sbach (kissed a tree) 2 crows is for the canopy. It arrived with 2 cracks on his left side. There is dust everywhere under the black paint and the varnish has been very badly applied. The canopy is not clear at all and his whole surface is like orange skin. Beurk. Is there a control before delivery???? So overall, the kit is ok except for the canopy who should not have been sent. I'll have to spend tme trying to fix it.
Also grade aufgebaut und in den nä*chsten Tagen ist der Erstflug geplant. Gewicht 1kg, ich musste noch 100gr Blei vorn im Motorträ*ger unterbringen und fliegen will ich mit einem 3s 2600mAh Lipo. Der Flieger ist extrem Schwanzlastig und das Gewicht was hier angegeben ist stimmt leider nicht.
Bin schon auf den Erstflug gespannt.
I wanted to order this kit from the DE warehouse for delivery to the UK but HK informs me its to large to be sent via DPD. This is in fact untrue if you check DPD's website it is ok to be shipped.

Thanks! I'm kind of new in electrical flying!!! By the way, did you pay for the Sbach? (and filled in a German adress) Or does your family had to pay for it? Thanks for the tip on the details and are there any more details to share? Are you already flying the Sbach?
I ordered the Sbach from my HB-account, made paypal payment, delivery adress of family in Germany, just type new adress in your own account. Sbach is now "work in progress"
Beware: one minot detail. The aluminium wingtube I received with the Sbach, did not fit into the fuselage receipter tube. I had to enlarge the inner diameter. But the alu wingtube is a perfect fit in the wing receipter tubes. So it takes just a little extra work to solve this issue.

Dear, the last plane have only the send option "Self collection in Hamburg DE warehouse".
It's a long distance to Hamburg for me. When do you have planes for sending/shipping?
This unfortunately has not been my experience, unless something changed just recently. The issue is not about where the warehouse is located, but what address is stated on the invoice. Since the invoice states Hong Kong, you are still charged VAT and tariffs (at least in CZ, i.e. should be same all over EU). If somebody knows a way around it, I'd love to get a guidance. thx
btw, it could be that you avoid the taxes if its shipped within Germany only, because the authorities do not notice that it is actually an import - does not physically cross boarder?
But that would mean customs in CZ is checking every single package even it was sent from inside EU - I can't believe that (normally they should only check direct shipments from outside EU). I would consider just talk to your local customs authorities to clarify this issue since there's no need to pay VAT and customs duty twice *-)
Of course I did check. The trouble is that HK is claiming that it sold it from Hong Kong - that's at least what the invoice states and I don't think you can get other document from HK to certify otherwise. And yes, the authorities in CZ do check nearly every package. I got caught 8 out of 8.
Oh,and of course it stated Hong Kong also on the package - that is why it gets checked, since even though it phycally arrived from Germany, all paperwork aims at EU import. If HK paid tax on it already, they should change the papers when shipping from German warehouse. I am not ordering from German warehouse anymore because of this - its not worth it.
Ok, in that case I would suggest to create a HK support centre ticket and if they supply insufficient information there you can create a new order support thread in HK forum about this topic.
Same problem here for AT.
Max GLS shipping weight is 25kg and box size is 1620x355x595mm so there should be no problem as max size for GLS parcels are 200x80x60cm (you can check it on their website).
I assume there's an error in shipping size calculation and therefore I created an website issue ticket #307474. Hope they will fix it soon.
I just ordered this plane a while ago. It was returned by GLS (it was an option at that time)due to oversize. HK is informed that UPS can easily do the carrier job but no answer up to now. Very embarassing - actually simple to solve but ... Any news on this?
