I have a 3-Cell LiPo that I use on an indoor foamy with this plane. After just being plugged in, the ECS becomes very hot, without pulsing the throttle, and have smoked a few. That was at 11.1V, let alone a 4-Cell. You'd be better off with a better ESC if you are going 4-Cell.
Nice linear throttle response. Great for hovers and whatnot. You can make them even lighter depending on your application by removing most of the wire. I actually removed all the wire on the motor side and soldered a 2205c motor directly on and left just enough on the batt side to solder a JST conn, plus about half the RX wire. I know, I'm anal but... saved about 3-4 grams and it seems to work great. Hey, it all adds up.
Perfect fit for the depron foamies in the U.S. warehouse. Easily programmable, very lightweight and very high quality.

Simple to use. Works great on 7oz foamy with 28g motor. I bought 2 and 1 of them quit after 6 flilghts so I had to knock off a couple of stars. Second one is going strong and I will buy more when I need another.

I put two of these in a micro A-10 with EDF's. I soldered the leads to the motors and with the programming was able to reverse one motor after it was soldered. Size, weight, and programmability make this ESC a good one.
