Hi, I'm flying my Vision EP with a Turnigy 2209, 28 turn, 1050Kv Brushless outrunner motor, using a 3S 2200mah Nano-Tech Li-Po on a 10" x 4.7" APC prop giving 900g thrust at 18.4 Amps and at 11 Watts. It works really great with this model keeping it very light. Plenty of poke in this motor and it doesn't get very warm at all (neither does the 20 Amp ESC). Very free running, doesn't give much breaking effect as the prop windmills power off, even a very low airspeed. Great little motor for lighter aerobatic models. Model flies great and is impressive when doing aero's at low speed close in. Model is for those who want a bit of finesse in their flying rather than "Throttle Jockeys" and high speed flying. Think those who report breakages of tailplanes are using too much power and speed and are probably using heavy motors/batteries etc. KEEP IT LIGHT and it's a very rewarding buy. Regards

Now flying this with a Turnigy Nano-Tech 3S 1300mah Li_Po and it now flies much better than with the 2200mah Nano-Tech Li-Po. This model flies a lot better when light. With the APC 10" x 4.7" Slow Fly prop it has a braking action which will slow the model even when in a vertical dive with the throttle cut right back. Can't recommend this model enough !!

Now flying my Vision EP with APC Electric type props 9" x 6"E and 9" x 7.5"E. Can't work out quite which is the best of the two but in my opinion both are better than the APC 10" x 4.7" Slow fly which I began flying it with.

Am now flying this on a 9 x 7.5 APC Type slow-fly prop 20amp ESC still with the Turnigy 2209, 28 turn, 1050Kv up front. If it's calm I fly with a Turnigy Nano-Tech 3S 1300mah but if it's windy I fly with a Turnigy Nano-Tech 3S 2200mah. I find that the extra weight is beneficial in windy or gusty conditions when landing. Just gives it a bit more stability for landing.

The recommendation by Hobby-King on their Global Website of the suitable motor for this model i.e. EPS100 brushless motor with gearbox which has to be stick-mounted. Pictures of this model show the two forward bulkheads cut to take a stick-mount. The model has now been modified and supplied with different bulkheads and no provision for stick-mounting. There is now a box type motor mount supplied which takes a 2209/28 1050Kv brushless motor, on which it flies very well. Pity that the recommended motor will no longer fit without a lot of cutting around.

Very well built and finished, the covering being particularly good. Good instructions etc. Very well boxed and arrived with no damage whatsoever. All parts there nothing missing. Mounting holes for servos are perfect and needed no cutting to allow fitting of servos. The only fly in the ointment is the recommendation by Hobby-King on their Global Website of the suitable motor for this model i.e. EPS100 brushless motor with gearbox which has to be stick-mounted.
