The DG-1000 is a very popular 2 seater glider engineered to the highest standards. Our DG-1000 Kit is built for the glider cono sur and is sure to impress! Featuring a fiberglass fuselage, built up laser cut ply and balsa wing construction with a carbon fibre wing tube, plus an easy to install sprung wing retention system that make setup a snap at your local field. The Highly detailed glider pilots and cockpit add fantastic realism to this model.
With large working flaps this model can be flown and landed in relatively small areas, plus, the model can be setup in a traditional flap/aileron configuration or a Quadro-flap configuration for extra control and breaking effect.
You will need 5 slim wing servos, 2 for each wing and one for the elevator while the rudder can be operated with a standard servo. You will also require a transmitter and receiver (Tx/Rx) and battery.
Hard? Possibly, but that depends on your previous experience with non powered gliders, but I'd say harder than the Bixler if you're a novice. I've yet to fly mine, but I'm led to believe that you have to keep her moving at a decent pace for the wings to work, and prevent a stall. No dawdling and relying on a motor to bail you out either. Mine is replacing an unpowered ST Model Fox, which has survived a couple of years of my flying, but this could be a different ball game.
hi you can change the prices to GBP - to do this look at the left had side of the screen - look for the PayPal sign - look down you will see a field to change from USD to GBP - I find it best to do this after I have logged in.. todays value is £*70.35 - hope this helps
And don't forget that the price will increase once Paypal have done their own little bit of currency converting. I paid a little over 80 quid in total for this, factoring in the 6 quid delivery charge. 68 6 doesn't add up to 80 in my book. Use a debit/credit card and you pay a surcharge, use PP and you pay something that looks like a surcharge, but isn't.... Is it? All the same it still looks like reasonably good value (I was after a Flyfly Fox).
There is very little to do,it is almost ready to fly.Fuselage is complete, wings and tail are complete, you just need to fit servo's and linkages etc.Quality looks really good.
i would like to contact uk warehouse to ask some simple questions about AMS DG1000 glider before I buy one from you. Telephone number prefered. Please advise.
Or you can talk to me on our Forum on RCMF if you so wish.

Initial findings are quite good. Fin isn't exactly vertical, the wing joiner tube isn't perfectly horizontal, and the flap travel is uneven and insufficient, but the finish is nice. For the price I think it's still good value, but why oh why are there no instructions in the box?
I'll post further results once she's been flown.
