The HobbyKing Brushless Pitts Special is as exciting to look at as it is to fly!
It's scale details complete with wheel pants and Pitts livery make it a very attractive plane, however the excitement doesnt stop there! This little foamie is equipped with 4 ailerons to give spirited aerobatic performance and the included oversize outrunner and 10x4.7 prop gives more than enough power for all aerobatic flight, and when you feel the need to turn it up a notch just switch the 10x4.7 for a 11x4.7 propeller for hovering capability! All this and still this little foamie is very controllable at slow speeds. This plane loves a walking speed fly-by.
A combination of scale looks, excellent flight characteristics and great power plant make this fomie a real winner.
The Pitt's comes 97% pre-built and will take you around 10 minutes to attach the main wing and include your own receiver.

Are the wings removable for transport (cyclist).

the wings can be removed for transport id also remove the stock prop and fit a 11x5x5 prop

the cg should be right on the front screw of the top wing were the wing mounts iv marked the picture in green www.link

Just a bit of advice here this product will work with the turnigy 2200mah 3s 20c lipo pack and will slot into the front compartment. Ungortunately this will mean cutting a small slot from normal battery place to esc and also removing the trap door from the front compartment, but if you slide 3 or 4 elastic bands over the prop and engine cowling to hold it in place

I took this plane to the patch on a windy day when I would only fly the more rugged of my planes. However I decided I'd have a go anyway and it really was too windy for this plane and I crashed several times. It is a great plane to fly and the wind concentrated the mind while showing what a tough little plane it is. It was suggested in a HK discussion that I put some tape to strengthen the cowling and this is very good advice as I cracked it in two places. I've now taped it up and all's well now. I found the only thing to be careful of is when turning off the wind on the upwind leg the wind can get under the upwind wing which flips it over into a nosedive (cracked cowling and one prop). It comes with two props. Roll rate is not fast but increasing the aileron throws would sort that out if you want more spin. Not a beginners plane but a little gem for the rest of us.

On arrival I noticed that it was a lovely small size, so when building her i put a bind key extesion to the rx and put it in the forward battery box then went on to glue all the wings on becase it can fit on the backseat of my car taking no space up at all. and then cut the rear battery box up to take a 3s 2200mah as aposed to the smaller 1300mah sugested. The prop is a little on the weak side being a slow fly so where possible upgrade it , i now use a 10x5 or a 9x5. and with the new battery I can get 30mins or more flight times dependent on your style of flying. All in all, once you have got the control surfaces set up to your comfort zone, this is a great little addition to your hanger.....you will enjoy this one...happy flying guys
