The Hydro Formula Power Boat is a large scale 26CC gas powered hyrdoplane racing boat that not only looks the part, it has the performance to back it up. With its vibrant, beautifully finished paint scheme and fiberglass hull, this is one boat that is sure to turn heads!

This high speed race boat is very well thought out with its easily removable access hatch featuring alloy quick-release fasteners, externally mounted engine kill-switch, rubber dampened engine mounts, pre-installed water cooling system and vented canopy to keep the inside of the hull cool.

Featuring a powerful pre-installed 26CC gas engine, CNC alloy hardware, and high torque steering/throttle servos, this boat is almost ready to run. You will just need to add your own 2ch radio system, fill up the fuel tank and your ready to leave the competition in your wake!

I am learning about boats so please ... what r the two clear hoses connected to rudder for and will the exhaust spay hot gas on these hoses (in pic 9) Thanks in advance

That's all part of the water cooling system. small holes in the rudder pick up water and use the forward motion of the boat to pressure feed it throughout the boat providing cooling to the exhaust in two places and the motor head as depicted in pics 10 and 11 before being dumped overboard through the outlet in pic 4 the silver dot just forward and above the word GASOLINE. As for exhaust gases those lines could be shortened a small amount to provide clearance but don't kink them off but as they appear to be sillicone, heat is not an issue.

Very well explained T6Texan. the exhaust gasses shouldn't be hot enough to affect the silicone hoses. If they are ,then it is running way too lean.

The turn fin or rudder is the blue anodised piece (to the right of the prop) at the back of the boat. (PIC NO.9)

not the rudder the turn fin just cause you dont know the difference having to install it after the build would wreck the paintwork

Well Excuse me you're referring to skid fins. Sorry I didn't understand your terminology. Unless you are actually planning to race it would be useless having one of these on. A Hydro is Designed and Built to do 1 Thing and that's Race around an Oval Track As Fast As Possible in 1 direction. If you are going to race then it wouldn't be hard to add one without wrecking the paint work, That's if you have any clue to what you are doing!!!

This might be a stupid question but since the canopy is vented, does it come with a bilge pump?

It is normal to be vented because the engine needs air to run but the water it's not comming inside the hull.....maybe just a little bit which is insignificant.The model is not come with a bilge pump but if you want you can mount very easy one.You can find a good bilge pump to boats&parts/gas/glow boats spare parts also can be used as cooling water pump when engine is running at low rpm.

I see what your saying, I think it would be a necessity to be honest as its likely you could run this boat for a long time. I think the intake of water would be greater than you think and this might compromise the boat if you dont have a bilge pump fitted, Besides like you mentioned about engine cooling, it could only be a good idea to fit one.
