The lightweight airframe is superbly designed and built, the excellent quality covering has been expertly applied and the cowl and wheel pants finished in a rich, deep gloss paint. No compromise to quality has been made on this superb 3D scale model, the undercarriage and tailwheel are CF, as are both the main wing tube and horizontal stabilizer tube. CF control horns and servo extensions are supplied and all pushrods are top quality turnbuckle/ball-link all round, the huge rudder is pull/pull operated as you would expect. I chatted with customer support and they said it should work with GLS but I guess noone really knows. So I just ordered one to Germany, I'll let you know what happens.
ordered and paid Dec 19 15:46, checker robot "soon to be shipped"-email on Dec 20, 9:46 and as of now (Dec 21, 17:54) no GLS tracking info available yet. I'll keep you informed if there are any oversize problems.

Can someone who has actually bought this tell me what it weighs? Just the raw plane parts without any radio gear or motor would be really welcome. Want to see if I can get below 7Kg with batteries and motor but motor is about 750 gm and I anticipate batteries will be about 1KG. Thank you to anyone who can give me an answer. Flying weight says 6KG, is this a realistic target?
Have completed and test flown only 1 flight, have bought it back home for tweaking, found it very twitchy on the elevator but flyes o/k and is a floater for landing, My build specs are as follows. 5 x BMS705MG servos, 22 x 10 Carbon prop with balance ring added, Gmbh evolution power box, Hitec 9 channel Rx, 2 x 1750 2S Rhino batteries, DL pitts baffled muffler, 3 1/2" alloy spinner, Fuel line from local mower shop, COG balance done by using COG balance calculator on the net and it set at 170mm, Not 190mm- 203mm as stated by the Kit CD build instructions. Floated in on landing so COG must be close. have moved elevator linkages to dull down
the twitchy stuff and added more expo, tomorrow is another day,

got, there may be worse or better kits. HK is a lottery. Motor i used is RCG 50cc ( runs nice )

couldnt post review as i bought from Australian W/house. I intend to try COG at 160mm next flight.
The 170MM is messured with the wings fitted and taken from the front edge of the wing back 170mm close to the planes body (the wings have to be fitted)and yes 170 is close to the line of the wing tube but not exact.

I'm very interested in this model and was wondering what type of hinges are supplied and are they pre glued?Is a spinner supplied?Will a rear induction Dle 55 fit without having to cut a large hole in the firewall as I had to on a previous Turnigy model?
I have had a model like this from flight-model and it look the same, a DLE 55 fits perfect without cutting the firewall, I think its the samme on this one
I tried to buy this plane now, and the tell me to do a "European Warehouse Pickup"? But there is no information on the Hobbyking website telling the address. It will for sure be hard to pick up this way... Tired of information underflow? YES!

After a long and tedious thread with Customer Support I finally ended up with an answer to my question. "European Warehouse Pickup" is in Hamburg, Germany! The will not tell the address, because they don't want customers to go there and try to buy at the door, which anyway is not possible.
Did anyone actually buy this plane? And what is the "naked" weight? I suppose the 6000g mentioned above IS the flying weight, though it seems far to low. An 87" model normally is above 7kg. I love to fly it electric. Any suggestions? Engine, BEC etc.
I ordered an SBach342 about similar size BUT ... DON'T buy it when you are unable to pickup yourself in the warehouse onsite. They will claim to have it shipped with GLS but you won't get it. Customer service keeps you waiting without any helpful updates even with patience and many support from customer side. Alteratives like UPS or DHL oversize are ignored. Day by day passing by they will let you know after almost 2weeks that the warehouse is unable to process the order. At the end you loast only time and money. Hard to resist this doubtless very nice plane but my conclusion: Dissapointing, embarassing and never again!
This plane seems to be sold from the EU warehouse now so for us swedes it should be possible to get it now :) since we got a 25kg limit from germany.

Feines Teil, hochwertig, kein Spinner dabei aber das war ja auch nicht Teil der Beschreibung, ca. 207cm lang von Ende Ruder bis Ende Haube plus dann Spinner. Wird dann gut 225 cm lang sein. Quer, Höhe und Seite müssen noch mit Stiftscharnieren verklebt werden. Flieger ohne Kleinteile 3,9 Kilo also dann ca. 5 kg mit Kleinteilen (nicht gemessen). Beide Hauben passen Top. Sauber bespannt, keine Falten. DLE-55 kommt rein. Holme müssen evtl. noch etwas Tape drauf bekommen, aber wo ist das denn nicht so? Wird Flugfertig dann ca. 8 Kilo denke ich. Leer etwas weniger nehme ich an. Haube vorne haue ich noch etwas Kohlematte rein, aber das mache ich eh immer.

Shipping with GLS was no problem. Weight of the kit including all small parts but without tank is 5,13 kg. Sure you can get it to 6 kg AUW if you are good at flying thermals...
Information if you want to convert it to electric: the distance from the front motor mount plate to the foremost point of the cowling is 158 mm.

Hallo, ich habe den Flieger im Dezember Bestellt, ein Tag später kam er mit GLS.
Ich habe den Karton auf gemacht, konnte nicht glauben dass man aus China so ein toller Flieger für so wenig Geld bekommen kann. Ein feines teil, sehr hochwertig, sauber bespannt, keine Falten. Ich habe ein DLE 50 ccm eingebaut mit krumscheid Schalldämpfer. Der flieger hat tolle Flugeigenschaften, (alles was man sich wünscht ). Jetzt nach ca. 70 Fluge löst sich die Folie, besonders die rote und schwarze Folie, nach Bügeln nutzt auch nicht. Schade dass am Bespannung gespart hat, dieser Flieger hat Oracover Folie verdient.
