Sbach 342 1000mm (ARF) (AUS Warehouse)

This really nice little Sbach 342 is a very attractive and nicely made park fly aerobatic model and is perfect for either sport flying or 3D with the right set up.

The construction is excellent, the result being a light yet strong airframe, the superb looking covering has been expertly applied and the included decals really finish this great looking model off. All hardware is included and is nice quality, for instance, the horns and wing tube are CF, the under-carriage a sturdy brushed alloy and the wheel spats are moulded plastic for durability.

The Sbach 342 has become the plane of choice for so many 3D pilots with its winning combination of capability and sheer good looks. This fantastic little park flyer gives looks every bit as nice as the much larger models, it is nicely priced and will be cheap to get airborne, a winner all round, this Sbach 342 is a classy little aerobatic model!

Nice Looking plane, came well packaged, test fly today, bit nervous as i made an error when constructing the elevators, had to pull it apart to fix it.. not to confident, but thats my error. Plane went together well.. i have epoxied the wings on and made some strengthening mods to undercarrage as well.. I am running a NTM Prop drive 35-36a 1800kv motor, K froce 80amp esc on 3s 2200Mah.. I ran 2 tests, 1 with the Master airscrew 12*6 beech wood prop: 700w 60amp & 580w 65amp both around 8000rpm. 2nd with Dynam 3 blade 11*7: 800w 78amp & 679w 65amp both around 9800rpm..
Will be test flying this arvy with the 3 blade, hope it survives.. :)

So ive decided to get this plane as the replacement to the one i just put in the trees.. should get it in a few weeks. gonna run an NTM 3536a 1800kv on 3s 2200Mah with 85amp speedy, suggested figures should have me around 700W. then need to find the right master 3blade and should be a rocket.. :)

So this looks great. I know it may sound silly but I have been caught before. So is it ply and foam or ply and balsa? It is very small and it does not say it is not part foamy.
 Kellyann 16221 points
Delst not at all. It is better to ask than live with a plane that is not what you wish. SHE is a ply and balsa covered with film. I hope this helps
 Kellyann 16221 points
Delst I have uploaded the manual under the FILES tab have a look. It will help.

G'day Purchased from the AU warrhouse on Tuesday arrived Friday, can't complain about that. Looks like a beautiful model, very impressed with the build quality, only hope my flying can do it justice. One thing the motor position seems to be offset to the right, looking from the front. (you can see it in the second last picture) Is this normal? I have looked at a similar model with a graphite nose mount and it appears to be the same, does this has something to do with engine torque, Thanks Peter

This one has impressed me. Beautiful plane and build quality to match. I had to use a big battery to get the CG right but it still flies great. Mine weighs almost 1kg fully loaded. Maybe not the best for 3d. I used a 40a esc, turnigy 3530 1100kv motor, 1600mah 4s 30c battery and a 10x5 apc prop. Well over 400w and goes fast! Had to push the battery all the way forward into the motor mount to make it balance. I'd like to experiment with a heavier, faster motor and 3s batteries. All of the supplied hardware is pretty good quality but it requires some modelling skills to assemble. I'll definately buy another if/when I crash this one :)

Man what a little RIPPER of a bubba SBach rocket ship !! I cant fault this plane. I LOVED it ... Yes thats right, past tense. RIP ... Running the Turnigy DLux 70A ESC & L3010C-1300KV 420W Outrunner this plane realised supreme stability, crisp manouvering and comprehnsive building package with CD Rom Manual. Sadly its down fall was a failed plastic elevator clevis pin which sent it plummeting to the ground with obvious cosequences. What a terrible waste at the hands of such a worthless hardware item. Now I vex as to wether to buy the 1500mm ship being sold here or go the same again ? Sure I've salvaged all hardware but also have a Turnigy G60 sitting waiting for a maiden, sometimes the small stuff is so much easier & fun in every way too . So ???
