The Hobbyking Mini Cub is a stunning EPO (super tough foam, easily repaired) model of an aviation icon (J3 Cub), and is ideal for beginners and experienced pilots looking for something that can be easily transported, handles well, is strong and assembles quickly.
Among the included scale features are an engine, pre-wired LED navigation lights and Cub style under-carriage. Full 4 channel control means superb flying qualities are guaranteed and a steerable tailwheel offers good manners on the ground, an important consideration, especially for beginners wanting to learn on a scale taildragger. The battery hatch is accessed from the under side to get you back in the air quickly and if you use the reccomended set up, good flight times will add to the pleasure of owning and flying this model.
A full colour instruction leaflet is included, as is a slowfly propeller to work with the recommended motor, this version even has 3 x 9g servo's factory fitted.

Thank you. I have somefriends of internet helping me with this but... (they are not locals).
Although I thank you answer. How can I answer my questions... thinking in the future. I checked all the comment for this version and I found the size propeller.
Another option is the AXN Floater-Jet (ARF), which cost the same as this one with the ESC engine.
Hobbyking will not let you reply to anyone's discussions (even your own) until you have purchased something from them. If you have then I don't know why they are not letting you. Hope this helps mate.
Hi, it it going to be my first plane and I have to confess I am a little (a lot) lost.
Why in HK in the spec. doesn't tell what are the measure of battery hatch. How I am going to know if a 3S battery could fit if I decide to use a 15A ESC with more powerfull engine?
I use the HexTronik 24 gram 1700kv with an 18amp esc a 3s 450mah 25c lipo and a 6x4 apc prop. It's a heavy setup, so you have to keep your speed up. I would guess that it will go 45-50 mph. I get about 5 minutes of mixed flying.
You have to drill out the lip inside to motor mount , and drill a small hole in the firewall so that the motor can fit behind the front cowl. It is an easy mod. I don't like building and it was no problem for me.
Paul G. you nee this item ""PRODUCT ID: GS0152M Prop adapter w/ Alu Cone M5x2mm shaft (Grub Screw Type)"" which in > Hardware & accessories. > Spinner/Adapter
I am really confused, which isnt that hard when shopping at HK, it says motor not included, but in the description it clearly states that a scale motor is included, and the above post never really got answered. I*m not asking for a miracle, just a clear review. not much to ask for!
I see it this way: you have to buy/install an hextronic 16 gr. brushless motor, the "scale motor" is the dummy one that is include (molded) with the cowling.
Anyone able to tell me, why the version with servos inbuild is cheaper than the version without servos?
Crazy, dont buy servos and save additional buck therefoere, good deal:-)
Because the higher priced has all fitted incl. motor and ESC / Prop / Spinner etc. This one only has servos.
