Will this be good for losi night crawler.. rock crawler in general??
 leo231 18 points
Some people say 55T is best for axial rock crawler, but for losi anything brushless 21t will be good. I use Traxxas Titan 550 21t and is awesome.

Have someone tried this motor with 6S in a 1/8 or 1/5 scale car? Would the motor burn if I use it in a 1/5 scale car with a 150A esc and 6S?
 Alessandro 11 points
I already used it, and I burned my engine, can use some espped 6s, but not every engine can handle 22.2V.
 ArNe 15 points
I'm using this on 6S and no problem. My old 150A ESC broke though (not burned) but it was 3 years old. as long as you don't overgear the system there is no problem.

on 6s 90mm fan with 80-100A esc what thrust will give?
 diy-pro 287 points
Dont use this for edf unless your good at replacing bearings!!!

1/10th onroad twin motors facing opposite direct drive to differential via shaft... mainly for drifting, will run on 11.1v good idea????
 al 19 points
Just one motor will be good. I have it on a 1/8 monster truck and it has lots of power
 Alessandro 11 points
For drift you can use sensored motor,it´*s have over control aceleration.
janio  23 points - 2/5/2012

I use in 202mm super frontier w 100A esc but the esc enter in cut off because over heat. I need change the esc or reconfigure onlly?
 Nancy 1 points
overheat, you need to have a better esc

I tried this as a replacement motor for my 76mm Lander fan on 6S, it lasted approximately 4 seconds before the front bearing collapsed, I was just trying it out in my hand and had only got to 3/4 throttle. It might be fine for cars, where the bearing forces are different due to having a gearbox (the clue being the big word "CAR" on the side), but for EDF it should say "AVOID" on the side instead. Oh well, someone had to try it I suppose.
 KaosKane 1427 points
thank you for ur info i didnt notice the "CAR" until u mentioned i wil get the warhead instead *}

Any one think this is good for a E maxx with a 5S lipo 30C ? Please let me know I used a Feagio 7XL b4 but its screwed its mounting holes...

will this motor work on a brushless truggy
 lummox 32 points
yes...1/8th scale or bigger. if smaller go a smaller motor with a higher KV. this is a monster.

I have a a airfeild f 16 it has a 30 amp 2-4 cell speed controler but it came with a 3 cell 1800 mah 20 c battery and a (i think) a 64 mm 4000 kv motor
i dont want to get 4 cells because i have a bunch of three cells
so i wanted a more powerful motor because it barely gets off the ground
is this a better motor?
any suggestions
 matt 3 points
i run this motor in my e-maxx and it has alot of torque. but compaired to a 4thousand kv it will be slower but more torque
 F100CUFFLINK 884 points
this wont fit in your fan unit ,dia, to big
 KITSONCLAN 6 points
Yes this motor is suited to a 90mm fan definitely not won't fit a 64mm
 lummox 32 points
Turnigy 2615 EDF Outrunner 4800kv for 55/64mm would be a good one to try. i would also put a better fan in it, like the hoaye 7 blade and a larger esc probably 45-50amp. BAM!
DJR2096  101 points - 3/16/2011

Is this Motor any good for 1/8 buggy?
 matt 3 points
yes its very powerfull and very very torquey. i run it in my e-maxx
kgodkin  11 points - 3/7/2011

will this motor move a traxxas e maxx ok?or to small..
 matt 3 points
yes i run this in my 3906 e-maxx with 4s on a turnigy 150amp and it has alot of power and torque
 Rcforme 210 points
Yes, it will work, watch your temps tho, it's only a 540 size. If you want to go insane, buy two ESC's and two of these motors, use the stock motor mounts to mount the motors, program the ESC's for forward-brake (if you use reverse, you'l get problems with one ESC going in reverse while the other doesn't, so you'l fry your electronics) and run a 4S LiPo on each ESC. Throw in two 27T pinions and there you go! Extreme speeds and insane torque!

this motor is capable to move 2-4kg? how fast? thanks.
 Dariusz 11 points
2-4kg car, boat or plane?
 juans 12 points
for example: 4s lipo, 100a car esc, 15,5kg servo and 2:1 gearing (pinion has to move 2 turns to turn once the main gear) all these to move 4kg model car fast (50-70 km/h) and a bit torque. P.D. If this motor can't, what motor should you recomend? sorry for my english, and thanks very much!
F100CUFFLINK  884 points - 2/18/2011

hi guys ,if the motor is rated for 22.2V,AND you boost the V up, will run ok for a while only? So why boost it over the Voltage it was intended for? unless you dont care if you burn it out.
 wifly 50 points
if you up the V it will burn out soon

Pode ser usado para Crawler car?
 Scheer 22 points
Yes, the low Kv rating makes it good for crawlers.

it is a bit quick for crawler, maybe with a 2 cell life battery..

Low reving, and heavy! Is this a 2 pole/4/6 pole motor?
 GRAHAM 168 points
Thanks for the information, Jason. Helped to decide if this is suitable to purchase.

thank you, helped me decide.

Hi All,
Is this motor ok for 90mm EDF ? in 6S?
 vasy1 605 points
This should be ok on 6s, maybe even better on 7s *-)
 zeeek1 513 points
As Cptn. James T. Kirk once said: "For how long, HOW LONG?"
 vasy1 605 points
Depends on the quality. I fly my 1850KV on 8s for far so good. But the motor cost 4 times as much. My other 90mm has a 1600kv and it is only rated for 6s. You pay for quality :)
thiago ciqueira  13 points - 12/25/2010

para uma asa zgi de 120 cm e 850 gramas ser que fica bom com esse motor ?
 Shaprap 180 points
I think this motor is too heavy. You better choose something like TowerPro 3015-7 1000kv with a 10X6 prop and a 40A Plush on 3 cells and get plenty of thrust. (And with 4 cells it'll be even better)

Try to include as much data as possible. I tried to use an E-Flite 60A ESC with this motor & in 3-4 seconds both the motor & ESC got extremely hot & the motor did not turn up full RPM & only drew 38Amps. The ESC is ruined. What kind of ESC should I be using, or is there something wrong with my motor?

My previous review was in error regarding the five star rating. Since the motor burned up the ESC, I can only give this product a "1" & that's because there is no zero available.
Please HK respond to my e-mail about returning the product.

Great motor for the price! I run it on 4S and the highest temperature it reached during high speed runs was 128F on a day that was 80F outside
