what do i need to fly this plane and will i need my own pushrods and horns clevis's etc.
 Flying V 81 points
4 metal gear servos. MG14 are 8 dollars and will work well. You will need some extension arms for the servos to get max throw. I used pinned nylon hinged and UHU por glue for the control surfaces. Push rods come supplied, but need to be bent and cut to the correct length, so use some push rod connectors like these Linkage Stopper M3x2xL11.2mm. To be honest. Check out best value rc and buy an MXS kit for 80 dollars. They are magic 3d planes.

G'Day Kenwood and all.... I have A D4023-850 Out Runner Motor with 12x6 prop and a 35A esc with 2200 3cel 35C batt... can i use this combo for this plane.....the reason i want to use this combo is i already have all the bits this combo is supposed to give 1200g of thrust what do you think.. ps i have buddy coded these items in the forum under Buddy Buddy Buddy so all of you can start with my platinum price and then some extra discount.....

Depends what you want to do. It will not be powerful enough for 3d. You want at least 1.5 to 1 power to weight and the plane will weigh at least 1300 grams so you need 2 kg of thrust, like a 35-42 or 35-48, which aren't much heavier. 500 to 800 watts is the power range. 50 to 60 amp esc and a 13x6.5 prop.

i can not work out how to get the servos into the wings ,can anyone help????
 kewood 88 points
Yes put wing up to some light to locate hole, the ply base is about half way along, cut out foam Square its about 20g servo size, insert servo & screws then remove put a drop of CA into screw hole for better grip the ply is very thin, or glue a amall square of 1mm Carbon sheet and screw into that
Servos I have used are MG16
Hope that helps, this plane is awsome good luck

No use SK3542 or the NTM35-48
3536 will burn out when hovering or prop hanging

1 thumbs up!
I just took delivery of this model from the NSW W/HOUSE. l unpacked it and was very happy with the quality.had to order the rest of the part to get it flying from the main w/house so it will be a couple of week before i get to fly it.i will update this after the test flight. also very fast delivery.
4 stars for now hopefully 5 after maiden flight.
It would be good to have all parts for models sold here available here.

Mine arrived today and after unboxing it got straight back online to hobbyking and ordered another 2. Can not wait to take it for its maiden flight. Very good quality, and very strong. It has a 25mm square tube the lenght of the fuse. Making it very straight and strong. Going to put a larger the required brushless up front on the second plane. Get one today before they are all gone.

Originally purchased this model from HK warehouse direct. Had trouble with quality of predrilled (factory must have blunt drills) and misaligned holes in extruded aluminium fuselage spine.

Did not use cheap supplied control horns and clevis etc, instead used better quality commercial units to ensure more secure and safe control.

Easy to assemble, have fitted with Turnigy 3542D motor, 2200mA 3S, 40Amp Turnigy Plush ESC, 12 x 6 APCE, easy to fly, slow and precise.

This is a fun model that is worth the manufacturer spending an additional $5.00 to improve the quality. Have down rated to 3 star due to the above.
