HK-450Pro CCPM 3D Electric Helicopter Kit (Align T-rex Compatible) Modeled on the famous and proven Align T-Rex 450Pro. Take a close look at the head and tail of this awesome machine. It's ultra light, yet rigid design is strong enough for even the most skitzophrenic of 3D helicopter pilots! This this the Torque Tube (TT) version. Utilising a drive shaft for the tail, rather than a belt, making it more efficient in flight.
This is a FULL 450Pro. All components are newly designed. Unlike other vendors, this helicopter DOES NOT share parts with previous versions. It is completely new.
When comparing helicopters, carefully look at the tail and head unit. Although our head block and blade grips are a slightly different design from the Trex 450 Pro, this is purely aesthetic. They are fully compatible with Trex 450 Pro parts.

Has anybody else assembled this kit and found the Auto-Rotation Gear does not mesh enough with the Tail Drive Gear? The end result is slippage and an uncontrollable helicopter!Even when all Align gears are used!
You might have a bad main tail gear. Had a bad batch where the gear was off center. Causing mass vibrations. Turn slowly and should see it rotate elliptical instead of a perfect round.If its vertical alignment,make sure the shaft is right orientation,use the spacer and washers.
You might have been unlucky and got a bad one. I've built at least 20 over the years for mates and friends and never had any drastic problems as such. We've used assortments of replacement parts from align,winrc,flasher and tarots and all fit like a glove.Align parts are precise which cost but won't resolve the cause until you address the main cause as you discovered. Great to share your experience as it would help many new to the hobby. Have fun Johnny.
Yes, sometimes a very minor issue can cause serious problems when putting a new bird in the air for the 1st time! Obviously the tolerances were not close enough for either the main shaft mounting brackets or the tail drive gear assembly. This caused the auto-rotation to mesh with the tail drive gear not deep enough. So when I hit the throttle a little harder, a loud crunch was heard followed by a an out of control pirouette. Luckily I landed on the skids! I changed the tail drive gear with an Align one because some teeth were damaged on the original gear but I didn't check the depth of the mesh! So in the air I went again and the same thing happened. But because the Align gear was more robust, some teeth were only slightly worn. It was at this stage I discovered the problem. Unfortunately it's issues like this that can make this hobby very frustrating! Sorry about the ESSAY!!!
what servo's ,esc ,motor and gyro are recomended for this
this is my first heli and i dont have a clue where to start
oh and can anyone help with where all the screws and parts go i have got most of it sorted but i think i need the instructions or a video to follow
youll need a 6ch rx/tx 3 micro servos 22.8x12x25.4mm 1 high speed digital servo 35x15x29.2mm a heading lock avc gyro 3400/3800kv motor with 12/13 tooth pinion gear a 30amp esc and a 3cell 2200mah lipo battery/charger also the align manual to build the heli 450pro super combo is the align name
main gear bent,head very sloppy/loose,cant ring,chinese person answer phone(i think,lol).damm thort it was to ggod to be true,cheap hobby store in Aus...***r effert on HK's part.not even going to bother sending email
Not sure if we are talking about the same company, I have had great service and for this price this is a great helicopter. If you phone them during their open hours they are pretty helpful, I will admit that it was not an Aussie that I was talking to but she went out of her way to help me and I cannot ask for more. Perhaps give them another call?
ok so i just so looked agian and spoke to my friend and his avatar is dingduck and his name is steve,my friend,lol.when i tried ring I could not speek to an english speeking person.now 3 mths down the track things are looking up..very happy
Build was very straight forward, but i did replace the tail gear box locating pin with self tapping screw, so the gear box can be removed easily. The whole heli has a real quality feel to it , way better quality than the standard HK 450 series.

Kits looks great however come to build and there is binding in the rotor head and tail rotor. Parts are no machines to the same tolerances of a Align kit, you get what you pay for.

relacion calidad precio un 10!! es una pasada!! mala calidad de aluminio pero aguanta !! montado con servos colronas 933 bariador 40 a towerpro motor 4000 dorado de 16 dolas giro 401 futaba servo de cola 9254 perfec un pepino!! ahora bien hay q apretar tornillos repasar despues de cada vuelo!! pero buen heli! tengo 3 y estoy super contento!!

Its a great heli for the price,when i got mine there was an issue with the head and main gears but it was sorted out,sent many emails,but they sent new parts.thanks to the aussie warehouse now open and i could ring somone and get things sorted out.very happy,HobbyKing are finaly getting someware and happy to buy from them.
The carbon fiber is a real pain, every time you handle the heli you end up getting fine particles of fiberglass all over your arms, you end up with the dreaded fiberglass rash ! Give me a metal frame any day. The canopy snapped in two the first time it was put on. the main shaft is bent out of the box :( Under carriage is very weak snapped before I even fitted it ended up using a 500 size tarrot skid I had here. On the plus side the allen head bolts are much better than the standard 450 screws. The head has a nice feel to it and is realy solid.
