Since the Spring Festival everything at HK seems to have slowed down, even the shipping until recently. There are lots of stuff even from the international shop I'm still waiting for them to restock. I guess we should say to each other good wait. Lol

They don't provide printed manual. You will need to print it yourself. This heli is an exact clone of the T-rex 450 SE V2.

The hk 401B is a good gyro, all you have to do is a quick mod and it is sweet.

I've just built this kit and used the following: hk401b without the mod, seems they have fixed the movement inside with extra foam, turnigy typhoon 2218 motor, htx900's on the cyclic and a HKS-9257 rudder servo,turnigy plush 40amp esc. works well

Hi all, i have a align trex 450 se glass fibre, but it is the plastic version and i want to upgrade it to full carbon and alloy parts, but i was wondering if this is the right/best one for my model of trex, or if it is the wrong version which one is the right one?

in fact i have just relised that i can just use the whole heli and not bother replacing the parts on my old heli with the alloy one, i can just use the complete alloy/carbon set, so my qustion now is is this the best 450 size trex availble from HK (hobby king)?
and if not which one is?

Do yourself a big Favour buy Align replacement parts, much better Quality, HK have gone down in there Quality for spare parts I wouldnt trust them again

Depends on the part! I would use Align for the main shaft, feathering shaft, flybar and screws. As for the tail boom, belt and main gear you can get away with almost any of the clone parts. I did find the Align base plate swash plate and skids are less likely to break in a crash but also cost a bit more.

You could but its better to get align parts or another of this heli for spares :)

is the tail boom suppose to have a hole in the tail end? one end has a slot but the other end is clean

There isnt any hole in the Tail end of Boom , but you can easily drill one if you need or rough up the last 3/4inch of boom with some sandpaper for better grip

the slot end is inserted into the rear of the heli,the slot is to prevent it from twisting look inside the hole and you will see a small pertrusion that will slide into and locate in the slot.

i haven't seen an assembly chart, but would love one as well. i have one of these guys on order. i did do a bit of googling and youtubing though and noticed there are some reasonably good video's that are really helpful.

this is the same as copterx450 AND trex450 this is a great buy ! for assy info down load the TREX450 MANUAL off the internet tell you all you need to know including throttle and pitch curves !!

Very impressive Fast Delivery ! Good on you HK Australian Warehouse ... (ordered on Sunday received on Next Tuesday morning).

Excellent quality product by HK CF Frame and metal head all pre-assembelled. Came with proper metal screws with bolts to mount servos.

Blades are poor quality you might want to upgrade them to CF. Rest everything is 5 stars !!!

Unbeatable quality at this price !!

Terrific value, quick delivery too. I'm in the middle of assembling it. Only problem I can see is that the screws are not 100pcnt the same as the Trex so you may need to make some educated guesses from time to time. Excellent value though, you couldn't expect more for the price.

Excellent!.. Arrived 3 days after ordering and I assembled it today.. Very good quality metal parts and outstanding value... Just waiting on a motor and then it will be ready to fly.. I'm ordering another for spare parts..

Blown away with this little heli. I had a walkera 3d a while a go. It was crap, plastic everything and constantly broke just while tinkering. This on the other hand is awesome. so much metal and Carb/F. So cheaply priced, leaps and bounds ahead of helis in my local HS that have nowhere as much metal or CF.
