Want Lawmate 500mW Tx/Rx.
Getting it from the US would cost too much plus high shipping too. ![]() Edited by Asad - 07/Jun/2010 at 12:42am |

Excellent work, Jason!
![]() The reasons I mention Lawmate is becasue they are well known to the FPV crowd, hence assured orders, plus they could act as a definite recommendation for anyone asking about FPV. 1kW 900MHz seems like too much power but its all good! GSM is used here so higher power helps in open areas away from cities. How about 5.8GHz? Small and light with maximum possible RF power are the keywords here. If you can't source them, designing your own around the Airwave modules is a possible route. By "larger antennas", do you mean standard omni or patch antennas? Patch antennas in the 8dBi, 14dBi range (according to frequency) are usually used, latter with antenna tracking set-ups. Edited by Asad - 07/Jun/2010 at 4:04am |

Those interested in FPV might be interested in a project I've just started preliminary design work on.
it's an auto-tracking hi-gain video receiver antenna. Particularly useful with 5.8GHz systems, it ensures that the hi-gain yagi antenna is always pointed at the model so that video range is increased enormously for a given power level To work, you need the GPS information from your model in digital/serial format. I'll be using it initially with the telemetry-enabled version of the FrSky 2.4GHz system. It'll be a totally open-source DIY project that anyone can copy (for non-commercial purposes). |

Eagle Tree has the "Eagle Eyes". A really nice and simple, plug and play, inexpensive set up that also offers diversity and pan/tilt control for two servos...and power distribution too boot!

Faster please summer is too short. You should also restock eagle trees products. Is there any alternative solution to the eagle tree products? |

Can yoiu get 5.8G, too? 2.4 is a bit problematic as TX user it, too. and all the other options are not legal in Germany and I think most of EU. - Oliver |

Can Hk put together an entire set. For someone like me whos got NO idea where to start its all a bit mind boggling. Or even put together a FPV page that shows some good setup combos for different price ranges. I know its a bit of work but us newbies to FPV would really appreciate it and it WILL result in more sales of the stuff as at the moment we shy away from making a purchase because weve got no idea !!
Thanks Guys ![]() |
