Burnaby,

I know some folks take the attitude that they knew what they're getting into and therefore don't mind fixing a few things.  However, as I said before, Jason basically said that the problems were fixed and THEY SIMPLY WERE NOT.  THAT is what I find most annoying.  I'm not looking for credibility and I'm entitled to voice my opinion (until HC censor me), some may disagree but there is too much uncertainty in the quality of this Heli to say anything other than 'just say no'.

I used to be a Brit, now I'm and American. I have a Brother who lives in Toronto and is a Naturalized Canuck; we're all North Americans IMHO.

Where did Jason say that the HK600 problems were fixed?  Jason Posted this on March 22:

Guys.
We have seen some complaints from various customers over the last 2 weeks about the HK600GT.
I have spent some time reading through alot of forum posts, but still find it difficult to pinpoint issues. Keyword being pinpoint.
I have seen comments about bearings and gears, but has anyone confirmed the issue or better yet, do they have photos or a diagram which can explain the issue more clearly?

I have a meeting with the factory owner tomorrow and will take any accurate comments or pictures you may have to show them.

I want to have this rectified as quickly and efficiently as possible, so please, leave the emotions for other threads.

If the problems were corrected It would probably be listed as HK600 Version 2.

I have also been looking for people that have received there HK600gt's in the last
week to see if there has been any improvements made to the heli and to give a detailed
list of these to us.
Jason should of by now been able to make some sort of reply to us about the problems
that we have had and I am really only wanting to know when we will be able to purchase the rectified spare parts. If the HK600gt has been rectified then why have we not been
tolled. And if it has doe's that mean that we have to buy a complete heli to get the parts
that we require.
Come on "Jason" your not that busy that you can't give us some sort of answer on the
HK600gt.
You would know that most people that brought the heli have not stopped buying your
products so please show us Hobby King freaks that you do care about your customers.

Thankyou,
                fitzy.

Experience taught us we give credibility based on what one does, not what one says. Weighing what happened with the 500 and what Jason say is a no brainer.

Of course you have a right to voice your opinion that seeks no credibility. Just don't expect benefit of the doubt.

Have to agree with the 'just say no' to the 600 till v2, an opinion clearly shared by fact it's the only HK constantly in stock.

We're all NA outside of hockey games. Americans do treat Canadians better than the rest of the world; Not sure if that's saying much.

I'm anxiously awaiting the v2 for my scale build.

mine just crashed today due to the tail problem...

should we sign a petention to get compensation or what..?? at least HK should give us all who bought that hk600gt points ( lots of them ) to compensate on the damages...

beside the bad quality.. its actually dangerous..the heli could simply hurt someone...and when that happens ,they can take HK to court for supplying dangerous and malfunctioning items while they are fully aware of its problem....!!!!

Good luck with that...unless you're willing to move to Hong Kong.

It's a known problem and yet you flew your Heli?  Where is the responsibility here?  Don't get me wrong here I'm not trying to defend HK, but it's a known problem and yet you still flew it without correcting the problem that people here on this and other forums have been saying about the tail problem.  The problems are known, so if you go out and fly this heli without correcting the known problems and you kill someone with it, the responsibility is on YOU!

im cool with your post wchiro
just to be clear.. where does it tell that its a well known problem( other than the forums ) .. i dont have to search online about known problems with a product.. i should buy a product knowing that it has been fully tested and working properly without any malfuctions.. huge car companies around the world withdraw thier vehicles from the market after knowing there is a problem with thier product..
i think its HK responsibility to make us all aware either by emails or by placing notes on the product itself to make sure everyone is aware with this type of malfunction.

the HK600GT does not have any type of manual or warning inside.. just the parts which looks exaclty the same quality as the ESP .. i took it for granted that the heli is working perfectly with no problems unitl i came across the forms and noticed many posts about the HK600GT.. thats when only i knew that they have many other problems with the product...

again... AT LEAST HK should include a small notice or warning that this product is dangerous and might cause failure and that everyone should visit the forms to make sure they are up to date with the problems that might happen.

saftey is important not only with the HK products , but with all type of RC stuff ... all of the heli's are dangerous no matter what brand they are.. its just that there is companies that makes u fully aware of the problem before operating the machine ,and that wont cause HK anything except  a small peice of paper inside the package to visit the forms.

cheers  :)

The buck stops with you, the pilot. There's no advantage to HK by putting a note is the box that this or that part may fail and kill you. Even Aligns have failures.
Come here, look on the reviews, do a google search before you fly.
I'm still on the fence on the HK500,600, replaced a couple of parts on my HK450 that were identified here as problems.

If you want 'guaranteed out of the box' and handholding , get a Srimok.

i dont get it..! you are defending HK now for selling us all a defected product .?
HK is fully aware of the problem and still ignoring it and pretending it never happend. and not even trying to solve it or compensate..?
Align is a responisble company which include a full manual for evey single part of the heli including a saftey instuctions on all the manuals..
HK didnt even include a single handwritten POST IT NOTE inside the package saying " please visit the forms for updates on the product " whould that cost HK , i doubut .. with over 2000 orders a day , im sure thats nothing compared to the profit they make.
HK ignoring all of us who bought the 600 and pretending that they are not responsible for the damages.. HELL NO.. they are responsible.. the heli shoild have been well tested.. its not a small heli. its a huge one with lots of power...

again..HK IS held responsible..if you buy a hand drill or a disc saw or any of the power tools ... you find in the manual and on the product and all around the box saftey instuctions including a  website to visit for more saftey instructions and updates on the product.... where did HK include a saftey insruction..? where did it mention that this product might fail and we must check the forms.. NOWHEREEEEE..!!

i wonder what does the HK owner doing right now..? is he checking the forms trying to figure out how to solve a major problem with a product that can kill someone .. or is he just relaxing in his condo.?!

if we made a survey from all the owners of the HK600GT im sure 60% of them crashed due to a malfunction with the product and im sure they will all agree on some kind of compensations...  if HK is really a company that cares about its customers.. it should do so..

im starting to wonder what other reason makes me order from HK other than the low cost of products....nothing... bad dispatch time.. bad customer service... and bad quality products.. hk is helping us all enjoy a hobby on a low budget .. but that does not mean we are customers who should be neglected and ignored...

i hope that someday HK compensate us all on the 600 GT ...
