We sound like stuck records here, everyone is having the same issues. I wrote to cs@HobbyKing.com suggesting that we need some kind of compensation for all the issues we've had and the latest reply I have dated 3/25/10 is as follows
Thank you for your email. Please be advised that currently, we have yet to receive any updates in regards to this issue. As Jason have suggested, please kinldy stay tuned to the forum for more updates in regards to the issue. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. *Please kindly note that we are now back in full force, but do expect email and order delays during the later part of this month due to the holiday. We apologize in advance for any frustration that may be caused by the holiday period. Best Regards, Vivian I'm staying tuned but it seems awfully quiet! Jason? Are you there?

Yes you are right I am still waiting for a reply as we all are.
I am also waiting for some more Align parts to completey rebuild my
HK600gt.
I would also like to know how the HK700gt is going as it was due to
be released in april 2010.
I think Jason should by now have some sort of answer for us on when
we can get some upgraded spares for the HK600gt.

Please don't let them rush the 700. The 450 was good except for some small problems which could easily be fixed. The 250 was a nice machine. So smaller is no problem. The 500 on the other hand had quit a few problems and the 600 seems to need even more revisions. So please let them first fix the issues on the products they already have. The bigger the helicopter, the bigger the forces are on the parts. I would much rather see that they extent the parts and aftersales for the helicopters they have in store. Torquetubes upgrades for the 450, 500 and 600, multiblade rotorheads and that kind of stuff.

Well put Danny, I would love to get a 700 when it comes out, but can wait for as long as it takes to get the issues sorted, not alot of fun being bitten by a heli, trust me I know, with 17 stiches and 6 weeks in plaster a few years ago, something that size needs to be right.

i agree, we could be kept in the light, instead of wondering what is happening but if the wait is worth it for a decent heli that does not need replacement parts out of the box, then paitence is a virtue

Theres an old saying-
'Fools rush in'
The 450 took 18mnths to get sorted,
The 500 still isnt,
So dont expect anything this year.

I'm tired of waiting might buy a logo 600 and get a Trex clone later when it's all sorted out.
Do u think Hk would be able to clone a Logo 500 or 600?

Still nothing heard; my HK600GT is flying well now although it's not really an HK600GT any more given how much I've spent on Align parts. I am now resigned to the fact that HK will stall me forever and I will never receive any compensation for the multitude of issues and $100+ in parts (not counting multiple sets of postage) that I had to buy.
I would not recommend buying an HKnnnGT EVER! I waited until Jason said that the newer ones had the problems fixed before I placed my order; the one that I received has had every known issue. Sorry Jason but you had your chance and BLEW IT! I would have been better off buying a real Align 600ESP from somewhere like www.HeliDirect.com If you want good clone 450 or 500 size, try www.snhobbies.com, apparently their 'Flasher' helis are pretty good. HK Helicopters.... just say NO

Gandalf_Sr> Too bad you and many like didn't know what you were getting into with HK.v1 . The 500GT b!tch thread was pretty long; the expectation was same for 600 and for upcoming 700.
v1 is only for tinkers expecting a raw product. "HK Helicopters.... just say NO" is too harsh; gets you no credibility. The 450TT sells like hotcakes, nice heli for the buck. Funny on the snhobbies, a yankee recommending a Canuck site. I like to drop by their shop at lunch to chit chat. |
