Airboat like in swamp buggy, and hovercraft would fit in there as well. Both are surface craft propelled by a stream of air provided by propellor, ducted fan, etc.

Cool, ok I get it now.

After I posted that message I thought maybe he was talking about planes like a Catalina.

A swamp boat or hovercraft would be perfect at our field as it is in a flood zone, plus the Hawksberry/Nepean River is only 100 metres away, but the problem is access is through some dense scrub/bush/forest and there is no decent shore line in the area where we are.

In any case I'd still be interested in a discussion on them, also the power system would be kind of similar to Paraglders.

Just build a hull or put a pair of floats on the bottom of your paraglider, (add a rudder in the prop wash) remove the wing (chute?) and you have an airboat. If you get to the field and see that it's flooded, you can still have some fun.
