OK where do I get the upgrade file?

My Super Brain 40A showed up yesterday, and I'm still poking at it. I'll post a fuller review in a couple of days, but overall, I'm liking it so far. It appears to perform largely as advertised.

It came without connectors, but this wasn't an issue. The lead to the receiver on mine was wired correctly.

The only issue I have found is that even after you have set the throttle range, if it senses a lower throttle setting than was initially set, it will adjust the lower bound to correspond. This is a problem for Spektrum rxs, as 0% throttle hold actually corresponds to a throttle value of -15% or so. So I set my range (power up with the stick at full throttle, then drop it to zero) and everything is good, until I hit throttle hold. When I remove throttle hold, the motor starts to spool up, even at zero stick. Not cool.

In any event, I'm leaning toward 3 or 4 stars. The ESC has some warts, but a $40 data logger is a fantastic value.

For those who have bricked their ESCs by trying to upgrade the firmware without having a firmware file to use... I'd wait for HK (or the manufacturer) to release an update - It's quite possible that you'll be able to unbrick the controller once you have firmware to load.

I've emailed eurgle AND Jason, so far no dice, Hopefully they'll provide the original file so we can re flash the esc. I'll give it til friday then its winging its way back.....

OK my ESC arrived today and I immediately noticed that the wires to program not fit into the USB link. I will now perform all times very carefully to the instructions accordingly and hope that the ESC then running well. If not I will send it back to HK and buy another directly. But then a CC HV 100A ICE! Should work but I am curious if I fly my 600 Rex then so can.

(OK mein ESC ist heute angekommen und ich habe sofort bemerkt das die Drähte zum Programmieren nicht so in den USB Link passen. Ich werde heute mal sehr aufmerksam alles der Anleitung entsprechend durchführen und hoffen das der ESC dann richtig läuft. Wenn nicht schicke ich es zurück nach HK und kaufe mir direkt ein anderes. Dann aber ein CC ICE HV 100A !!! Sollte es doch funktionieren bin ich gespannt ob ich mein 600 Rex dann auch damit fliegen kann.
