Ok I was pretty sure it would hurt the charger too but I knew it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thumbs Up

Kind of a bummer though because I can find some 1300w power supplies for $20(usd) shipped! I think I saw a few that supplied 24v, that will probably be what Ill get. Or an 18v supply.

I think the iCharger 208b needs 18+ volts to run at max power. That new Turnigy charger might need the same.

Yes it will.
Don't go crazy. Go pick up a computer power supply rated 200-250 watts about max rated for the charged and that is all you need. It will be cheaper and heck of a lot quieter.
It will not charge any faster or slower. Don't go above specifications if you want it to last.

I'm curious if this would hurt the charger.

iCharger 208B (Input voltage range: 4.5-32.0VDC)

42v 27a power supply

???

Why?
I have been looking to do another computer power supply conversion and discovered the cheap and plentiful 1000w+ redundant server power supplies on eBay. Might as well build a beast. ExclamationNukeLOL
