you can buy Zenoah coulpers, to couple two Zenoahs together or buy them already connected, the only problem i see then is the prop torque, which if the boat is a monohull is ever present.

Running seperate twin motors you could opt for a counter rotating set and run counter rotating props, this is like the holy grail of rc boating as if you rotate the props both in opposite directions and rotating counter clockwise on the left and clockwise on the right motor you eliminate prop torque and the boat will turn just as well in either direction, a single drive boat will often favour a right hand turn, whereas the real hydros etc run to the left.

Yes, I've seen that one - & it looks great. Bonzi '84 classic, right ?

This guy at RCG says it's kind of slow, though.. Confused

I guess these vids pretty much confirms that. Nice setups, but doesn't seem to be very fast.... Cry

yeah its not the fastest, Personally im not a fan of RTR boats as they are pretty lame and aimed at the "play" market rather than racers.

Some of the guys in my club run 56 inch Aeromarine Apache's with a single Quickdraw HT and they do about 50mph.

Are you wanting to build a race boat or a play boat ? If you really want to go fast then you want a hydro such as a Blazer Marine Whiplash, the wooden version can hit 70mph very easy with a QD HT

Basically Mono's and Deep Vee's are the slowest, Catamaran is next, Hydro is next and then Outrigger is the out and out fastest. IMO Cats are the easiest to setup to go fast, Hydros and riggers take a bit more experience.
