Hi Tom,

no, You have to connect the signal pins of channel 1 and 3, the mass pins are already connected in the rx

regards, Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang thanks I already found out. However I thought it would work with my Futaba 14MZ .But the red light keeps flashing.Do you maybe know if there is a way to use these receivers with Futaba or do they only listen to Assan modules?

Kind regards Tom

The assan receivers only listen to assan modules. No way to get around that. Same goes for all PCM and 2.4Ghz receivers. They only listen to the same brand module.
Only PPM receivers can listen to multiple brands transmittermodules.

I have the same problem exactly using an Opic 6 Transmitter with a Assan rf unit and a Assan receiver with the transmitter in PPM mode.
I get the green light on the transmitter module but the receiver just flashes red like yours
Can anybody offer any advice.
regards
Bruce

Not sure if this will help.  I had a problem the first time I was trying to bind.  I was a total newbie at all this. Turns out the binding channel may be different on your Tx.  On my Futaba I have insert the binding jumper on the receiver, turn on my Tx and then take my right stick and move it up and down twice and the Tx will beep and then power on the receiver and everything is fine.  I think the book said something different, but was referring to a different channel.  So try moving all of your sticks in different directions to find the correct channel on the Tx to enter binding mode.  Hope this helps.  I have had NO problems with the Assan stuff as of yet.  I have them in 4 of my 450 heli's.  So far so good.  "knock on wood"

rthalls/bruce ~ Did you resolve your transmitter issues, in regards to getting it to bind to the Rx?  I just recently bought the Assan module and installed it in my JR 9303 and am having the same issue you were.  I have tried moving the sticks in different directions, but have not had any luck so far.

Any assistance you, or anyone else could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Steve
