Hi,
I'm building my first quadcopter, also my first RC vehicle...
I'm having an issue with one of the ESCs. After calibrating all four of them, I noticed one leaves the motor "undecided" of what direction to take. The ESC gets VERY hot really fast. I've tried changing the motor, swapping the motor cables, use the programming card, and nothing solves the problem.
Is it broken? What's the HK policy for these cases? Thanks, aalmada |

By "undecided" I mean, it spins back and forth...

Sometimes (not always) that is a symptom of a broken motor lead. A lead could be broken OR has a bad solder joint at the connector. The wires have an almost transparent lacquer on them (to insulate the windings)that MUST be removed at the connector solder point. Check that 1st. OR it could be a bad esc. Swap the esc with another to confirm it.
