Hello Forum
Today i recieved my 2nd Monster Beatle. ORdered # 2 so that my 6 year old son would have limited downtime if he breaks parts. The Beatle is cheap enough so whhy not right?? well... The second one arrived and i wanted to do a little "prep" work on it and give the new one to my son. 1) i wanted to take the rear diff off- Once again that stupid grub screw is freaking locked down and no matter what i do i can not loosen it and it strips.. This happened on Beatle 1 AND BEatle 2 while disassembling. Beatle 1 was after the rear diff died, Beatle 2 was just to check gear mesh... So thats 2 for 2 on that problem...HK- how the heck do you expect people to get that screw out?? Jeeez.. now when that diff breaks i have to pry off the drive cup yet again..UGH!!! 2) Beatle number 2's Server was so difficult to turn that as i turn the wheels of the beatled from side to side - simulating a left and right hand turn the gears stripped... COME ON!!! Really??? This didnt happen on Beatle 1!!! This was never even powered on and the servo was already broken... Very dissapointed in that. 3) Once again Beatle #2 part # 30827 and 30706 fell out while driving on asphalt.. LOST!! so now, Broken Servo and screws just falling out??? If anyone can assist with # 1 that would be great... i've been in RC for 25years and this is about as frustrated i've been |

I had to drill out the grub screw and get the whole new part to replace it.
With the servo upgrade to this one, its a million times better. I used rubber gasket glue and took out nearly all of the screws and dipped the threads in in and screwed them all back in, but on the rear of the front gear box the lower suspension arm holder the screws somehow managed to fall out of there, when I tried to screw one back in there was no thread for it to screw in to and the other one was lost. Also there is no part number for it so I ended up buying one of every kind of screw listed for them. |

30706 tend to fall out for my buggy too. Just tighten it more but not too tight as it will affect the turning circle. Too tight will make the buggy hard to turn.
