Hi Andrew, yes, poor customer service by not including any instructions - this is what ive figured out so far:-
there are 10 connectors on the unit, the first two from the top are marked AVR and ISP, i have no idea what these are for. the next are rud, ele, ail, and go to the receiver outputs, conventionally channels 4, 2 and 1 respectively. you will need short male to male leads for these. the next 4 connectors connect to the servos, the last one of these is to connect to a second servo if you have one for each aileron on the model. if not, just leave it unconnected. the last connector is a 2pin for battery power, either in or out. If your power is fed to the receiver, the other connections will carry power to the orx, so you can leave the power connector unconnected. Another problem is that the label on my orx was displaced and didnt line up with the connectors, which makes it more difficult to connect properly. i made a simulator using a dummy aeroplane with working ailerons, elevators and rudder, and tested it, it worked fine, but the gain pots as supplied were set a bit high, i would think if left this way they would cause the controls to overcompensate in a real aeroplane. All in all, a clever box of tricks which should increase the stability of any model, but of course it isnot anautopilot. If anyone out there knows what the avr and isp connections are, id be glad to know. rgds tony |

I think I figured out what the AVR connector is, it refers to the microcontroller type that's the heart of this box, the Atmel AVR. It's probaby how you connect to it from the outside world for programming.
