Hi all,

I recently bought the ASW28, (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__14418__ASW_28_18_2_53m_AMS_Scale_Glider_Kit_w_UltraDetail_Pilot_and_Cockpit.html),

I finished it all and ready to fly, however the flying weight is up at 2300 grams up about 900 grams from the recommended flying weight . I was at 1800 grams until I had to add weight to get the CG at 55mm from the LE...

Anyone else have any figures for the ASW? By the way I am only going to slope soar...

I don't think it's possible to get the CG in the right place with the flying weight that's listed on the product page.

Mine weighs 2030 gr. Instead of adding lead to the nose, I put a motor and a big battery in the front.

I've seen where some people have replaced the stabilizer with a lighter scratchbuilt one to reduce the amount of nose weight needed.
