I got the Bixler with the 2620-1900Kv Brushless Outrunner, which according to my googling efforts has 12 poles.
The AE-30A ESC manual says "Supported Motor speed (maximum)L 190000rpm (2 poles), 63000rpm (6 poles) 34000rpm (14 poles)"

I don't know whether to choose medium or high timing... i would like the esc to run as efficiently and cool as possible, so would i choose medium? does high mean the motor will have more power but will run hotter?

Thanks.

set it to high, with that many poles it will not change much from low~high.more than likely it is a 12 leg stator and 14 pole motor the poles are the # of magnets a motor has not wire wrap poles of stator.
