I am glad a Hobbyking warehouse has opened here, hopefully it soon fills up with some of the goody's I want, particularly the iron on coverings.
However, I would like to point out that the prices for deliver are rather steep, and the options for alternative methods none existent. I am quite happy to pay for the royal mail standard services of first and second class up to the appropriate weight limit, as opposed to an overnight courier. Most things I need are not that urgent. At the moment I am still better off with international warehouses or a certain well known auction site. Is there some way to give additional options for internal uk delivery? |

It's being worked on as far as we know (RM parcels).
Short term - make bigger orders and less of them

Great to see the UK site open. The postage is the drawback. No problem for large items at £7.85. Small items such as an ESC or servo that would be OK in ordinary letter post also carries this burden of £7.85. It would be cheaper to buy from the Hong Kong store. I think HK are missing a trick here and will only sell large or bulky items.

If I select the UK site, GBP, and add something like
a typical small servo I am likely to buy, which is £1.93, when I get to the checkout, it adds Parcel Force 24/48hr delivery. This bumps up to £8.10 or £6.98 respectively. The long list of rates that should be available you can see from the postage table don't seem to have been implemented yet. I am more likely to buy little and often when I am really sure of what I need, I make far less errors due to impulse buying that way which I can't really afford. Its all about budgets really. |

Dont forget Brain you can buy quiet a few items, at least 4 small servos
from the Hong Kong warehouse for a tenner and two quid postage. Pick International Air Mail ($40 limit) 0 - 100gr $2.99 and make sure that you declare 100% value and there definitely will be no customs charges |

I found the way around that problem with the Uk warehouse was to add a model to the order each time you want something small.
Trouble is, I've run out of room now...... |
