I know; live and learn; I ordered two Turnigy motors from HOBBYKING, and one arrived as a failure. It would just chatter back and forth, and started to smoke. Second ran just fine. Have been flying with it a coulple of days now. The end result, after dealing with "JESSI" at Hobbyking warranty service, is that I have to ship the motor back to CHINA at my expense
. I will check with the local postal service tomorrow to check the cost of shipping, but I doubt that I will be doing this over an $18.00 motor. Might as well use it as a boat anchor and buy my parts elsewhere, not at HOBBYKING.

This is the dumbest post I have ever read... If you have a damaged product, you have to send it back in. Its really not that difficult. Their warranty seems to be fine, its you bitching about having to pay for shipping to get a FREE replacement item thats not fine.

That's ok; dumbest reply I have ever had; if you actually read the post, you would see that my "BITCH" was having to ship, and pay shipping to "CHINA". But, I will say that Hobbyking has contacted me and corrected the instructions where I now ship to Washington State. And I will also stand by mt statement the if a product fails right out of the box, customers should NOT have to pay shipping to anywhere, and that even includes you!!!!!CHINA

Have to agree, if I send back a defective product and they verify that it is in fact defective, then HK should credit my account for the cost of shipping.
HK received my warranty items 5 days ago, any idea how long it takes them to test the item and post a response? Considering all the stuff I have purchased from HK only a few things have been defective. I did have 2 AE-25 ESC's go bad in ten minutes of flight but decided it wasn't worth my time or money to return them. |

Yes, I doubt that I would have bothered sending the motor to China. It was ALMOST a waste of time and money ($8.00 CDN)to send it to Washington State. We shall see what they say. The motor wasn't even mounted or propped. As I said before, this is my first order at HobbyKing. Placing another order will depend on how PI.... off I get at the end run.

Whats with you guys thinking the world has to bow to your needs,
When my engine from Tower broke while running in I had to pay to return it to the US! They weren't paying any shipping for me. BTW a brushless motor juddering and chattering back and forth is caused by only two of the three wires being connected |

I don't recall ANYONE bowing to my needs. You, maybe.
You must think that it ok to pay to have a product shipped to you're home, and then oooops, it doesn't work at no fault of yours, and ooops, you have to pay to ship it back. It may be the way it is in the real world, but, in my mind and many other sane people, it sucks and is not fare. (like a lot of things). But you are correct about the motor, double checked my soldering and the connection and all looked correct. Second motor spun right up.

It suck and its unfair but thats the way it is and thats the decision we make when we buy online the 20 30 40 50 60% extra you pay elsewhere pays for the odd return.
That is a decision, as an adult you make. Now stop behaving like a child. |

Listen "Happy Sand Boy", part of being part of a forum is being able to post OPINIONS. I, and others, including you, are welcome to do so. And believe it or not, I welcome yours. But making little juvenile comments is being a little silly on your part. You have made yours, and so have I.
I am gone; topic closed!! |
