At the end of March I ordered and subsequently received a FRSKY V8R4-II 2.4Ghz 4ch receiver. I went to order another this morning and found that this model no longer is listed by HK - all record of it seems to have been deleted as far as I can see. It still shows as current on the FRSKY website. I was wondering why it had been removed and what an equivalent replacement would be. I don't need telemetry.

I've got a bunch of the previous version of THESE 7 channel ones and at 5.5 grams you're not gaining much extra weight and you are gaining twin antenna diversity. I'm now also using a telemetry module and receiver and it realy is worth switching over, especialy for models you realy care about. My non telemitry module cost me one of my favourite glow models because after doing a range check I forgot to hit the button again (yes I know, my fault realy) and down she went . The telemitry module I'm using beeps fairly loudly and regularly while it's in range check mode so you just can't forget. The module also lets out a different beeping sound if your signal is getting weak which could also save you a lot of grief. THIS is the only one I've been using of the telemitry receivers so far in place of the 4 channel non telemitry one and am impressed so far.

I'm never wrong, once I thought I was but I was mistaken.
