Anyway, electronics inside is what is making the different behavior.
Perhaps just a value of one of those tiny resistors on current or new batch, is changing no response zone from 5us to 15us, or even much more (which makes servo irresponsible and jumpy)..

There are problems with electronics part, in many of different servos.
What I wish, is to purchase fistful of really good generic servo electronics, so that I could change it in many of poor servos DIY.
But soldering 9g servos needs sharp eyes, so perhaps it is not a million piece business for seller :(

If HXT900 are no longer the cheap servo to get, what should we start buying instead ??

TG9e are still good. I think the school of thought that they're more fragile than HXT900s hasn't used them. The HK15178 is also a brilliant servo.

What about the Corona's, some of those seem reasonably priced.

I had heard god things about the HK15178, so I bought some for my AXN.
The tail servo gears stripped on the 2nd day, only servo gear Ive ever broken, so I cant recommend them.

I just cant bring myself to put $100 worth of servos in a $50 plane

Yikes! Although I've seen some VERY stiff AXN control surfaces...
