I've just had a look at some new Lipo's.
I was looking for the lightest 25C 3S solution around 3000-4000mAh.
And I just noticed that Zippy now has 'compact' lipo's that seem to compete very well with nano-tech on weight, price and size.
The Zippy Compact 4000mAh 25C 3S is only 20gr. heavier than the 3300mAh 25-50C 3S I have right now.

What I really hated about my latest nano-tech lipo's is that The balance cable is much too short! I can't even connect it to the lipo guard on my multicopter because the wires are only 4cm or so! Waaaaaaaay too short!!

So I'm going to opt for the Zippy Compact.
BTW, is there any reason not to?

@ HK: When is a new batch arriving in the HK warehouse?
Because the Zippy Compact 4000mAh 25C 3S is out of stock at the moment!

One of my gripe with nanotech is the 'bait and switch' they did.

First few batches good.. then subsequent batches cannot hold punch and puff during use.

The rated discharge rates are a fantasy.

For example, my 25c 1300mah 3s is rated around 39 amps.

But pulling 22 amps causes it to puff during use.

After landing, rest voltage is 3.85v per cell.

Then the lipo no longer puffs once it cools down.

Maybe aged pack but it is not able to last that many cycles.

Not sure if zippy packs will end up the same, but I am no longer putting much hope on cheap lipos to last enough cycles.

This is the problem with all Chinese manufacturers..

Bait you with impressive early release products then cut costs on subsequent batches.

STILL not in stock.
It looks like HK isn't going to meet their promesses, re-stock within 30 days...
