Hi Plexus
The satellite and the main receiver must the same type. Orange RX100 satellites are DSM2 the AR8000 RX is DSMX, is it not? I'm no sure, but if that is the case they'll not work together. But I maybe wrong here.

According to Spektrum their AR8000 receiver is a DSMX High-Speed 8-Channel Receiver: # of Channels: 8 Modulation: DSM2/DSMX Band: 2.4GHz. Ray

Thanks for the report. The satellite is flashing rapidly once and nothing after.
I think is broken.

Hi Plexus.
It may not be brocken. The AR8000 I still think will not work with an Orange DSM2 ONLY satellite, not even with and old Spektrum DSM2 satellite. The new satellites have a different circuit, DSM2/DSMX same as the main RX.

Ok, i Think the best is to buy another orange RX., because, indeed, the spectrum DX8 is in DSMX.
Thank's for all.

Plexus, try your spektrum DX8 in DSM2 mode see if the satellite works. I don't think it will.Your problem then is not between TX and satellite receiver, is between your satellite and main receiver, they're not compatible. The old spektrum satellite does not bind either with the AR8000 because is only DSM2, and not DSM2/DSMX like the new ones.

You may find some of the latest old spektrum satellites (remote receivers)marked only as DSM2 bind with an AR8000 but in reality these sat. are also DSMX. Spetrum did not mark them as such in order not to create a confusion as they new system DSMX was not get released.

DSM2 and DSM2/DSMX remote receivers (satellites) are not interchangeable. The Orange sat.is DSM2 only therefore not interchangeable with the DSM2/DSMX satellite. Can not
work with the AR8000

The new spektrum remote receivers (satellites)for the AR8000 are marked with and X on the back and they are different in circuit.

Again the Orange remote receiver is only a DSM2 same as the old spektrum remote receiver and it only can bind with the old spektrum or similar DSM2 system main receiver. Whoever your DX8 radio can work with either DSM2 and DSMX, but when in DSM2 mode you'll not have the benefit the new DSMX system.
