I am looking at the Turnigy D2836/8 1100KV Brushless Outrunner Motor (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=18969) and the Turnigy AE-25A Brushless ESC (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=11616)

The motor is rated for 18amps so if I add 20% to that a 25amp ESC should be ok? Should I get the 30amp ESC? (same model just different amps. they both weight the same)

The motor puts out 1130g of thrust with all 4 motors that's 4520g thrust. My Quad that I am looking to build is 884g (with everything) the thrust is 5x greater then the weight of the Quad. Is this too much? I want to do FPV but also want to do stunts as I get better. The motor is rated for 11x7 prop (I may us a 10x6) which should give me the lift I need for FPV and if I put an 8x6 prop this should give me the speed I need for stunts. Did I figure this out correctly?

Thanks

Turnigy Plush series seem to work without any of the problems experienced with all the other. They are very popular, are often on backorder, but come back into stock regularly.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams.

Would the 25a Plush be ok with this motor? Max current is 18a for the motor.

Do not get the Turnigy AE-25A's, I had my quad flying for about 10 minutes, then 1 popped, smoked, and the quad came down hard. Ordered the 30a plushes myself but 25's will work for your application.
