I am not sure what I should do with this CG / rudder issue.
I see 3 option: - ignore it and see at the end how much extra weight is needed. - make my own pull-pull rudder control with the rudder servo near the CG - enlarge the battery tray to the front by 80mm (instead of installing the small motor at 80mm bolts)-> this will give me more flexibility for adjusting the CG I will just go on building and see if this is going to be a problem... For the servos, I decided to use the HK15298: (digital HV metal gear) They are strong, precise, cheap and fast enough. (and its orange color fits exactly the eye blinding style of the Trix!)
Graupner DES CFK-Heavy-duty servo arms fit well (also Futaba 25T 5.9mm) |

I glued the hinges with white wood glue (and maybe secure some of them with toothpicks).
The double glassfiber control arms are similar to the ones supplied with the bigger Sebart planes (Katana 120). They are a bit rough and need some rework. The screws of the Trix are a mixture of metric and inch. for the pushrods I switched to metric (M3), to drill threads to the stiff ball linkages. (all control hardware is 3mm 1/16") |

For the control-horns, I folowed the Sebart manual:
I removed the film (slots in the control surface are allready prepared) and glued the horns with thick cyano: The slots in the plates are too thin and need some rework. To have a good alignment of the holes, I preassembled the linkages. btw: the linkage screws are mixed: some of them (for the elavator) are metric (M3) and others (for the rudder) are inch. |

Finally I modified the rudder control to pull-pull:
For the servo I added a small piece of plywood: |

The 15298 Servos are a bit too tall for the wings; I have added a piece of 1.5mm plywood to prevent buckles of the topside sheeting:
There are two types of ball-links; the wider ones are for the control arms (for the ailerons, additional washers are needed): |

I don't know, why Hobbyking puts those ugly paper.stickers at wings and fuselage?
They are from thick paper and not easy to remove: Maybe this is some kind of "CE-Paranoia" of the German warehouse? But now I can be really sure, that RF-noise of wings and fuselage are below the CE standards!

The negative throw of the ailerons is limited by the Control arm to 42 degrees (positive throw is around 50 deg.):
Ailerons are finished; connectors are green Multiplex: |

cable loom of the tail servos has finished.
I don't dare to use thin enameled copper wire like for my smaller Sebart or Precision Aerobatics planes: The weight (with servocables) is 32g. That seems to be ok for this size of plane... |

Thats my intended power-train:
10s 4500 Nanotech 35C Turnigy Helidrive 120A HV (now: YEP 120 HV) a C6364 KV270 Motor (similar to the G160 Motor, but with 10mm shaft) A first benchtest with 20x10 (for the MX2 I will go with a 20x8): ~80A 2700W 7300rpm from Drivecalculator: around 12kg trust eta around 84% pitchspeed 111km/h should be ok! I like more the woodprops, like the nice Vox props, but my local Vox dealer (Braeckman) does not have the bigger onces. The motor was originally planned for the big Hobbyking Gee Bee R3; thats the reason for the bigger KV. But once I get the engine, the Gee Bee gets out of stock... |

For the tailwheel, there are two M3 drive-in nuts at the tail (one thread was a bit damaged and need some rework):
The tailwheel could be easily bolt on (no need to bend wires or to hook it to the rudder while assembling the rudder). |
