I have already ordered the "Turning Trix MX2" and, once it arrives, I will share some information about it here (because I didn't found anything about this plane so far.

I am planning a low cost, medium weight and medium power setup.
10s 4500 Lipo "is a given", because I already have them from my Logo 600 SE.
So from my side, there is no discussion to fly the MX2 with 6s or 8s.
Sure, it might be possible and maybe it could be a very light and powerful 3D machine.
My target AUW is around 5.5kg (so far I didn't no the real empty weight...).
So let's see...

Matthias

It comes in a double cardboard box.
Everything is packaged very well.
Build quality seems to be very good.
Everything looks very light and fragile (espacially the fuselage...).
Finish is made very good (no wrinkles).

Hinges (flat plastic, with metal pin) are preassembled, but not glued.

Thanks for sharing first pictures.

Is there a manual included in the box or at least any information about c.g.?
Landing gear and wing tube are made of aluminium/GF/CF?

There is (of course) no manual!
But for this kind of RC model, it isn't that critical.
I will start with a CG of 30% (128mm) and will move to 33% (140mm, leading edge of the wing tube).

Both tubes (wing and horizontal stabilizer) are made from alumium.
The wing tube fits exactly; the tube of the stabilizer has some free play. I am not sure, how this works with automatic servo connectors, because both servos are in the stabilizers.

Landing gear is also made from alumium (well done: edges are milled).
Thats fine for me, because the runway of our club is more a "potatoe field"!

There is another thing which creates some question marks above my head:
on the HK page, I saw a double glassfiber controlhorn for the rudder.
My assumption was, that the Trix has a pull-pull rudder! (as usual for this kind and size of plane)
But there is no space for the rudder servo:

(the Lipo fits exactly to its place, there is no room for CG adjustment...)

the place seems to be on the tail:

I am not sure, how to deal with this? 3 servos at the tail (200g)?
I don't know, if I can achieve the right CG without extra weight.

Matthias

second picture does not work! The forum software always changes a "N" in the link to "n". Don't know why?

next try:
