Yeah ouch! Shes all back in one piece now so all I have to do is find a big bandaid sticker.
It really didnt bother me since I have so much stuff. Just hurt my pride a bit...
Too many hobbies and not enough time.

Well it's been a while since I posted here but wanted to share my first really bad crash in years. I was flying my Great Planes Extra 300 last friday and lost the plane due to pilot error I think. Came out of a flat spin and went to pull out of it and she rolled over on her back.
I pointed the nose down to get up some airspeed and it tip-stalled again, but at about 30 feet in the air there was only enough time to bring it right side up and almost level off then it hit the ground in the tall grass.
I broke the wing in half and damaged the fuselage back to the wing.
After removing the radio gear, engine and fuel tank, I started fitting all the broken bits back in place and things didnt look too bad. Luckily I saved all the die-cut ply sheets that the parts came out of and was able to make new ones. Right now it's back together after a few hours of work and ready for some filling and sanding then covering will go back on. A friend of mine showed up at the field last Sunday(Fathers Day)with a spare cowling he had lying around and gave it to me.
Here is a picture before the first flight last season. I will try to post pics before and after the covering goes back on.
