I had the Tx setting on my Walkera 4F200 instead of the V450D01 so control was lost immediately. Lesson learned.

That's what I like about Spektrum, a model number in the TX binds to a RX. When either of these do not correspond, you will not be able to do anything until you change to the right model number or power up the right RX.
I'm sorry man! Shame |

Fly fixed wings. mates thought it would be a laugh to see me try and fly heli so they gave me V450D01 two weeks ago for birthday.
Yes the very next morning i wandered onto front lawn, fired her up, result ended with her resting on her side and did swash plate, main gear. Next flight did same thing except did main blades. Found servo malfunctioning. It was permanently on. Not a snow balls chance in hell of flying. Put in replacement servo last night (and used trainer wheels) and she behaved like a gem. Unfortunately away for a week so I can do no more damage for another week

Oh yes, servo malfunction, gee none of us have ever heard that excuse before, of course it was all the servos fault

Yes Sawdust, failing servos and "drop bears" are the biggest challenge. Next installment to be posted when I return home.

I hope you have better luck on the next attempt
. The only heli I've been game to fly is one of the tiny coax ones they sell here. That went OK but anything more complicated to set up is too much of a headache for me at the moment .

Yep, I had a MG930 fail on me mid-flight. I actually landed it without a hitch, since the servo somehow got back to its senses. After landing in was stuck again. Even without a linkage on it. No binding in the head. SO yeah, it's an excuse LOL

Here we go again. Not a "drop bear" or one of those fussy little servo's. Been away a week. Came home thought I would take a few minutes and follow the training script I found on YouTube for the uninitaited heli pilot. All was going well until I suddenly lost lift. Ah Ha, the gremlins have been at work . The shaft on the motor sheared. I am almost ready to give the gig up, except for the fact that my number one son is itching to get his hands on the damn thing and show me how its done.

The one good thing is that I was hovering a few inches above the ground so no damage was done with gravity took hold and brought me back to earth.....
