my old monster beetle seems to be placing more power to the front wheels than the rear, any suggestions on what could be causing this.
The rear differential is in tact, no slipping there as replaced internal gears recently. Its just when i accelerate quick, the rear wheels seem to hold off while the front wheels spin to get traction. Ihave made attempts to weigh the front down to get traction, but to no avail. No complaints as it is saving my rear differential, but the car is no longer doing its custom hopping on its rear wheels when you accelerate. just curious on other opinions. Thanks M |

thanks for the tip, checked them, ok, then checked rear differential and found pinion gear b1 short worn out. Replaced it and now is screaming once again.
