HXT 500/900 alternative?

I wanted to order HXT 900 servos today for my friend but they are out of stock. That is why I tried to find an alternative for him but came to an dead end.
I ordered Power HD servos (HD-1600) in that range  for myself and found them to be out of the HXT league.
Which servos did you find to be good replacement? The price is not important.
