Hi All.

Got the email from Hobbyking and noticed this new frame and have decided to take the plunge but as is typical there are a heap of variables to choose when ordering, which motors, props, packs etc.

I don't have any experience with these and while I know I should spend the next week researching everything I feel like making an impulse purchase.

So, can any of you kind souls put together a shopping list that will get me started. I'd like to make this into a camera rig down the track if that variable makes a difference when selecting components. Your help is very very much appreciated.

	I have the hex frame in my basket as we speak. Need to know what would be the max kv, amps and power that could be considered for this model.

	Well I just went ahead and ordered a bunch of random stuff. Hope it all works out well. Everything was in stock except the props. urrgghh. Hope they don't take long....

	Just ordered the Hex, I went with NTM 28-36 750kv with 20A blue series esc. probably going to swing a 11X4.7 prop. If you need more info just msg me.

	Yeah, I ordered the 1000kv motor and was going to go with the 11x4.7 since I had no clue. Still don't really. But as they were out of stock decided to ask the customer support people if they can change the backordered props to 10x6 which are in stock.

	that should be a good combo, wouldn't worry too much about the props as you'll be replacing them alot or at least I did ;-) so you can play around a bit with the size.

	I just ordered the hex too!! Can't wait to get it. 	This is the setup I am looking to piece together for the HK hexcopter frame. Would like some feedback on what you think. I plan to use this for FPV eventually, so this is why I chose to use a slightly bigger prop. eCalc tells me I can get 6.14m flight time and 26.52m hover time from this config. Total weight comes to about 1200g. 	RCNoob, your setup looks fine, but I think your ESCs are way bigger than you need for this application. If you're going for a 3-cell battery and 10x5 props, you could easily get away with 30A ESCs instead. Don't forget you will need a control board and distribution board as well as hardware like prop adaptors, bullet connectors, battery straps etc. You might also want to re-check your weight calculations - assuming you're running 2 batteries at once in parallel (rather than all 4) your total weight is more like 1320g plus 440g for the frame itself....and that's not counting the various bits of wiring, plugs etc.

	Thanks Klaw81, With the ESC's, for good measure I took the max current for the motors and added 25%, which = 40A. The 45A trust ESC's are the lightest 40/45A ESC's hobby king carry, except for the 40A SuperBrain which get poor reviews. ECalc also agrees with you and suggests the max current per motor is 23A, so I might look at 30 ESC's. With the weight, I quoted the wrong figure. Total weight for 2x batteries is 1452g. So the estimated times should still be correct. I also have the control board and left out the other secondary bits and pieces from the list as I am looking for feedback on just the drive part of the setup. Thanks again for the help!
