Yes, I think so. Have you ever fixed such problems? I did not.

I've bumped a LiPo that was taken to 0V on 2 cells by a work colegue. He was using it to power a IR scanner that only runs at about 500mA. If you suck the life out of a lipo at high C then it's probably not going to recover. If it's new and has dropped below 3V (they usually avalanche to 0V fairly quickly below 3V) by slow discharge they can be recovered. As for life after that? The 3S 800mAh and another 2200 3S I have done it to are still working fine for me after probably 20 uses each.

Check out my LiPo revival. the first attempts were a success, but the second....well, not so successful as the first. Even though after the first successful revival of a lipo, it did, eventually, explode on me one night while charging, but no damage to anything, but the second lipo, well, pictures speak a thousand words....

Lipos will revive ok.

Most serious problems arise from high current in or high current out - ie shorts or overcharging/discharging.

I always monitor them while doing CPR on them and they don't even get warm with a trickle charge. They do get warm with normal charging though.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams.

Yeah, I generally monitor my lipo's while they charge, but on that one fateful day, my wife convinced me to take a walk in the park with her.

i have a cellpro revolution 4s charger which i have had for a few years
and it definatley charges from 0% fuel
i have accidently overdicharged my lipos on occasion and the fuel left in the pack was showing 0% this charger recharged my lipos back to 100% no problems and i am still running these batteries many months later

i quote from the instuction leaflet.
"low voltage restore feature will attempt to repair overdischarged packs.cells discharged as low as 0.5v may be repaired to as much as 98% "
in practice however i find my lipos always return to 100% and i have not had to scrap any.
i think this charger is made by FMA Direct and i brought mine in england but i think it's manufactured in USA (sorry hk) i hope this info helps

So this incident was caused by LiPo revival? How come it's not mentioned here?
