arrived without servos glued in
missing controll horns/clevis
well packaged
1st flight, retract broke on take off, causing the nose to hit the deck and break the prop. retracts are of poor quality, made of plastic where it needs strength
2nd flight, installed shock absorbing fixed gear, took off well, handled the wind ok and well ballanced out of the box using 3s 2200 nanotech.
3rd and final flight. wing broke clean off during a roll at high altitude, sent the plane falling nose first back to earth.
conclusion.... junk
great looking plane but dont fly it, keep it on the shelf.
not enough spares available,
waste of money

I have the durafly p-51 mustang, I concur with the quality.
Its a lot of plane for the money hence why there is cheap junk on it. So far before even flying i have had issues and had to fix the retract landing gear, Flap servos and all other servos constantly hunt/jitter so they will be next to replace.
IF you buy this expecting to do work out of the box thats ok however being marketed as a Plug and Fly leaves the customer unhappy.

I got mine very soon after they first came out. It was perfect and I did not have a single issue. Though the retracts did tear out one after another soon enough - but that is because I land on grass (football oval). A better epoxy job fixed that though.
It is fantastic value for money, even if you had to spend a bit on it really... but I must have been somewhat lucky.
I changed the ESC to 50A to run it on 4S not too long after getting it, anbd that makes it a lot better in flight too. 4S 2650mAH 20C.

I love my Corsair. Took a little work out of the box but the plane just looks amazing. Well worth the money if you can actually fly on even a beginner level.

I love my corsair. It looks great on the ground and in the air. It was a bit tail heavy, so some added weight and it flies great.

It slows down nice, and the retracts, although plastic, have held up to some bouncy landings. I've even had success with takeoffs and landing on grass.

Not paying out on anyone here, RC aircraft are like real aircraft, they do not take abuse well. If you tried to take a real F4U off a rough field you would probably break the gear as well. If you had a bad landing (we all have) in real F4U then I would say the damage would be much worse. Treat the models as you would a full size and you will have few problems.

Yeah pretty sure I got a dud, I was taking off from a bitumen road, other models that I have with similar setups for retracts have held up fine. After inspecting the wing after the crash, the spar which goes through the wing ends at the centre inline with where it meets the fuse, it should really go the whole way through, there is a good selection of spares available now, so I'm going to fix the wreck and give it another go!

The f4u is made for landing and takeoff from carriers thats why the wings are bend like they are to make the landing gear shorter so it shouldt be able to withstand some abuse from a grass field.
Just my 2 cents.

Close, but no cigar. The gullwings was to allow a bigger prop.

Sorry dry joint no cigar for you, Henrik is right. If you had to make room for a big prop why not just extend the landing gear?
Because this is considered dangerous on a carrier.... hence the inverted gull wing, to keep LG shorter....
