The nightmare continues:

After figuring out that I have lodged a PayPal claim against them, for the only partial refund of the money owing me, HK backflip on the partial refund concept, steal the $30 previously credited to my bonus points, and demand that I close my PayPal claim before they will return it.

Now this sum is part of the money legally owed me, and over which HK have ABSOLUTELY NO CLAIM, yet I am being held to ransom by it's withholding, in order to enforce an inequitable and criminal business practice.

Well, if you're persuing them through Paypal they don't want to refund you twice, do they? Or is that unfair too?
We all get dud items from time to time. I've just received a dud servo. Most of us take it on the chin that we won't get our postage back because that's what we agreed to when we made the purchase.
I'm here to help where I can- the sarcasm and insults are just a complimentary service I provide....

Once the claim is made with pay pal the funds will be held till pay pal resolves the claim, this is part of pay pal terms and conditions not HK.
Wail I can understand your disappointment and frustration. It is a part
of the fine print and most the time the cost exceed the cost of the product. I tell all that ask me don’t order more than you can write off. This is from any over sea shop. Not that this is a good part of shopping overseas but it is a part
I thought DOS was a command line OS

Wow BB-Q .... you are really gonna make him feel a LOT better! Yea, right!! Losing $2.99 on a "dud" servo doesn't quite compare to losing $50 in shipping costs and nothing to show for it!

At least you have some spare servo arms, screws and a spare set of gears with a dead servo.

It is understandable to be responsible for return shipping if you decide to return an item, or, to prevent fraud, return the item for verification of a defect. I have no problem with that concept. But it does appear HK cancelled because THEY didn't want to pay to ship him a good replacement.

Sometimes, as a seller, you have to bite the bullet and do the right thing! HK is the best deal going for now ... but they are not the ONLY deal!

They need to correctly resolve this issue. It's not going to break the bank to do the right thing!

Wootler: there's plenty of servos that cost a lot more than $2.99, I know blokes paying $200.00 per servo and since BB-Q didn't specify your comment is kinda irrelevant. Now read airwaves answer for why Hobbyking took their money back.

I'm never wrong, once I thought I was but I was mistaken.

I just went thru the Paypal ordeal when another company sent me something I didn'order.Their solution was for me to pay return shipping to China $35USD so I could get my $50 USD back. This effectively meant I received $18.In other words Paypal protects the seller not the buyer, you won't get shipping costs back even if you order a heli and receive a brick in a box
Paypal protection isn't worth a squirt of warm goats piss

Well Sawdust, if BB-Q paid $200 for a "dud servo", and "let it go" then I don't feel bad for HK.

I bet you a beverage of your choice it was a LOT closer to $2.99 than $200! (Of course you must pay for the shipping!!! HA!)

With the exception of the $2.99 remark, I'll stay with my response: HK should do the "right thing"! I can live with the occasional low cost dud item, but one transaction like tressie's and I'll be done with HK. My money is a little too hard to come by! It's the ole "Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me" routine!

Have a good day!

wootler,i agree with the right thing to do would send out a heli.the only part is HK tells you this ahead of time.IF you look it does not say.return a defective product and we will seen you a replacement at are cost.If it did then Tressies post would be true and HK should do what is said.I don't make this policy, yet when i hit the buy now i accept it.every one that sends HK there hard made money should read it and if you wish for the first policey ordder from there shop.
