Long processing time

Why is it taking so long for items to be dispatched from the U.S. warehouse? I received an email that my items are ready for shipping and I would receive a tracking number within 24 hours. That was on April 5th. It is now Aptil 13th and item still not shipped. When I contacted "Chat", I was advised it would be shipped "soon". What does soon mean? Timely shipping seems to be a problem with HobbyKing.
