Hi all,

I have been reading and watching videos of quads for some time now and I finally decided to build my own. I have been reading the forums and surfing the HK site.

Please give your suggestions on the following package I have put together. I feel quite lost when it comes to the motors/props. Is the X525 fram a bad choice? should I go for the Talon instead? Do I need some kind of mounting kit for the PCBA. Is a landing gear necessary?

what do I need to add to this list to make it complete? (wires/plugs etc.)

1 Hobbyking X525 V3 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame 600mm
1 Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board
1 HobbyKing Multi-Rotor Control Board V3.0 (Atmega328 PA)
4 TURNIGY Plush 25amp Speed Controller
4 Turnigy 2217 20turn 860kv 22A Outrunner
1 Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module & 8ch Receiver (Mode 2) (v2 Firmware)
1 Slow Fly Electric Prop 8045R SF (4 pc)
1 Slow Fly Electric Prop 8045SF (4 pc)
1 Turnigy 3000mAh 3S 20C Lipo Pack
1 Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger (DE Warehouse)
1 On Board Lipoly Low Voltage Alarm (2s~4s)

Thanks for your help!

hi! Can iI sugest you some lights , it is very usefull to see the direction of your quad.
Your list is correct, perhaps, your props are a little bit too small, but you'll see with the time.
Wish you a lot of fun!
Pierre

Hi, I have the same question as you, and would that setup will be good for a beginner with fixed-pitch coaxial experience

Its not that you need to be an experienced heli flyer to fly a quad, you just need to be experienced at flying models.
welcome to the forum

Thank you very much.
I've been trying to contact HK but no luck.
So should I follow the list? or should I get that one http://www.goodluckbuy.com/x525-v3-quadcoptor-friber-glass-folding-arf-set-kkmulticopter.html
What would be the best control boat for beginner like me?
I'm wanting to use it for areal photography

Thanks again
Elad
