A bit shakey, but that's Christchurch for you.

Yeah I've still got a bit to learn about flying straight for the camera... also in about the first half of the video I was flying on an old futaba, then in the second was with the dragnolink uhf - the difference is massive, even at a couple of hundred metres my futaba was always glitching, but with the dragonlink a kilometre and a few metres above the ground is no problem!

And with my FrSky I easily fly to 2Kms with no glitches :-)
FrSky are also planning on a "long-range" 2.4Ghz system (ideal for FPV). Don't know when it'll hit the shelves though. |

Done some more flying with the Dragonlink UHF - in my opinion this is the way to go right from the start (but then I don't know much about any of the others). I've been to 3.5km using the "short range antenna" on the transmitter and with the receiver antenna set up in a less-than-ideal way, with no hint of losing signal. Just gotta work on my video link now... Edited by basbasti - 30/Apr/2012 at 7:20pm |
