ESC FIRE!!!

Not sure what to make of this. I was running this 150A High performance ESC on 4 cells for about a week with no problems, i plugged my 6 cell into it and it went up in flames. Anyone else experience this?

	These speed controllers are rubbish. It is possible that 6s on such a high Kv motor was outside of the ESC's limits, but I had mine melt down after running 5s on a 2250 Kv motor. The product is garbage, and HobbyKing provides no service or warranty support whatsoever - they just ignore RMAs and returns. I purchased a HW XERUN instead and it has been much better - my only regret is giving HobbyKing my money.

	did either of you alter your gearing to match the increase in voltage if not there lies your probleme youth over geared

	That ESC is known for meltdowns if it was pushed close to it's limit for too long. That limit isn't very fantastic either. I have friends with the TrackStar 150amps ESC and it simply handled all the extremes of R/C offroading with a "Bring it On!" attitude.

	This actually caught fire on my bench, i never even put it on the ground.
