Not sure what to make of this. I was running this 150A High performance ESC on 4 cells for about a week with no problems, i plugged my 6 cell into it and it went up in flames. Anyone else experience this?

PRODUCT ID: HK150A

These speed controllers are rubbish.

It is possible that 6s on such a high Kv motor was outside of the ESC's limits, but I had mine melt down after running 5s on a 2250 Kv motor.

The product is garbage, and HobbyKing provides no service or warranty support whatsoever - they just ignore RMAs and returns. I purchased a HW XERUN instead and it has been much better - my only regret is giving HobbyKing my money.

That ESC is known for meltdowns if it was pushed close to it's limit for too long. That limit isn't very fantastic either.

I have friends with the TrackStar 150amps ESC and it simply handled all the extremes of R/C offroading with a "Bring it On!" attitude.
