http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11156 While the vehicle is in VTOL stage, the axis of each EDF is positioned in the Vertical plane... Later these are turned to horizontal plane using servos..... I ll upload a new pic which includes all the dimensions....soon.... BTW thnkx for replying....

Should that be a VTOL? If I would advise you to look after the Center of Gravity and put the EDFs further outside on the wing because they are not good for stabilising a tricopter anyway and you make it much harder for them by putting them that near together.
And I don't have any idea how you want to a switch between flight and hover and how you want so stabilise elevator with this construction. Especially since the CoG seems to be between the front EDFs. And if this should be no VTOL the "wings" are not helping. |

Hello,
This is Kishan, final year BE in Mechanical Engineering. As a part of my final year project semester, I planned to design a convertible tricopter. I am almost done with the CAD part and I am uploading the screenshot below. I am using 2200mah 45C Turnigy Nano Tech as a power source, 3 64mm EDFs (max thrust 1.2kg) 3 60amp ESC. note: I am not an expert in this field. Expecting advice from you. I am planning to use 3 HK Digital Head Lock Gyros 1 HK Multi-rotor control board V2.0 and few servos to control the tricopter i.e., 3 servos converting purpose (1servo for 1EDF)
